Some portions were small. You're supposed to be able to add extra meats to a plate for $5. So, I added ribs. They gave me *1* small rib. For $5. Are you kidding me? The rest of the portions were fine, but that cheesed me off a little bit.

My wife's sandwich was fairly large, though. I definitely didn't leave hungry.

I go there quiet a bit probably since I discovered it working near there in the early 2000s. I always found it pretty consistant but I am pretty regular what I order beef brisket sammy, short ends, sausage or chicken but chicken they can run out its very good though. I never get burnt ends unless its a sampler plate been burned to many times. My friends have and said pretty good.

The smokehouse on North oak is pretty good. Much, much better than the one in Zona. I had burnt ends at Smoking Guns in North KC a few weeks back. Very good. Not Joe's level but very respectable.
