But not Big Andy, HELL NO... he's gonna do what his peers are doing with superior QB's and put Smiff in the shotgun using spread concepts and have him just dice suckers up with his superior schemes and playcalling. Who needs a running game when you have one of the NFL's premier play designers and a laser accurate, whip smart field general distributor? |

It's on Sutton for not making good players work on D. It's on Reid to use the running game better. But let's not hide from the fact that these things were done to hide Alex smith. |

It REALLY does call into question Reids status as a "QB whisperer", he really thought Alex Smiff was some kind Peyton Manning light that could toss it 35-40 times game? |

But he needs a fundamental shift in how he handles the team, and there isn't much (read:NO) proof that he's willing or able to do that. Andy Reid genuinely believes in everything Andy Reid, torpedoes be damned. |

While the 49ers are not my team, I feel for the 49er fans (not the ones on this site), that had to watch an incredible team attempt to make a Superbowl run in spite of their QB. It is very easy to say Kyle Williams lost that game for them because of the turnovers. Its the same thing here. People say we lost a game earlier because of 2 JC fumbles. The common denominator is having a QB that is not good enough to make up for deficiencies of and mistakes made by the rest of the team. The 49ers COULD have won the NFCCG in spite of the 2 fumbles with better quarterback play. We could have beaten the Broncos in spite of the 2 fumbles with better quarterback play. |

2. The 49ers had more QB production against the Giants, as paltry as it was, than anyone they faced in the SB run. |
