Of course he was a good prospect. But you don't just morph into something because of people around you. He is who he is because of him, not because of bad luck for a decade. Good QB's make the best of players around them, not let those players define their career and use it as an excuse.
The oline problems are there, but when you are getting paid the money he is getting paid, you make the best of it. You don't make it turn you into happy feet and be afraid to step up and make a throw. Daniels is willing to do it, so should Smith. The national media has jumped on the sack narrative, but Smith is at fault for way too many of these sacks.
