If only money were programmable and trustless.

You shouldn't be conflicted at all. He would be able to pay you if he hadn't lost his job. Who has control of that nowadays, uh? You said you hoped someone would show you grace, then do the same for him. Be that "change" floppy as you put it and actually live it.

It was never his money. He never had to take money out of his pay check, it was given to him by people in his league. It was never his money to spend.

If I was his good friend I would give him a while to pay, but I would make sure he knows he will eventually pay me.

If he isn't a friend, I would make him pay right away unless he was actually going to lose a house, car, electric or something. He never should have used that money. I would have sold the PS4 before I used that money. He shouldn't be asking others to make a sacrifice with THEIR money instead of him making the sacrifice. That being said I am a sucker and I would figure that since I am in a fantasy league with him he isn't going anywhere, and would give him time.

As a commish your job is to hold on to that $ in a safe place not blow it or put it in your savings. Not his $ to use unless he wins. So he should have the $ tucked in an envelope somewhere. If he spent it he's a fool & better get another job ASAP to pay the winner.

wazu 12-27-2015 07:51 PM

So am I understanding that the question here is whether or not to physically assault your fantasy football commish? Flop are you some kind of badass mobster that this guy would be enough afraid of to not call the cops if you beat him up? Because if not I would think it isn't a very smart move. Honestly it's not something that even occurs to most adults who have something to lose like money, jobs, or family. I'm not morally against it, because this guy does sound like a deserving dirtbag, but this strikes me as a really strange thing to even ask.

I personally don't think $800 is worth an assault charge but dude loses all trust & hopefully will never be a league commish again.

Toby Waller 12-27-2015 10:34 PM

shouldnt all the guys in the league confront him at the same time?

You've been a real salty vag here lately.

You're normally so nice, so this is truly aberrant behavior.

Light a cross on fire and put it in his front yard, then throw a brick through his window

Simply Red 12-27-2015 10:41 PM

If I was in your shoes, I would drink my last drink, bang the wife, go to bed and do it all again tomorrow.
