Besides the fact that you're an Alex Smith ballwashing cockgoblin, Charles appears washed up.

Go away, ****tard.

I wouldn't say washed up. I can't call him that lol. It makes me too sad because Jamaal is my favorite chief. He didn't look washed up against a bad Raider D. I want to see how his knees respond in the next few weeks and see how the season finishes. But I think he could retire at the end of the year if it continues this path.

In a limited roll I don't think West has looked as good as he did last year.

I'm not sure why it needs to be Charles is washed up or he is the same back he was. Seems like he will be something between that which makes him valuable and better than West, which isn't a shot.

Charles value with this injury isn't going to be there in a trade so probably more realistic that his help to this team will be down the stretch in some capacity, not in a trade.

With Ware we have the luxury of patience, we should exercise it. If he never heals so be it. I think he will enough to be a good service to this team. I don't think he will ever be the man again but that's ok.

RB's (good ones) are only in their prime for a handful of years. It's about that time for Charles.

Chiefs have been lucky...going from Priest Holmes, Larry Johnson, Jamaal Charles, and now the Spencer Ware seems like to be the next big thing in KC. His time has come, let him take the rock and let Ware do his thing.

Chiefs will move on without Charles....sucks that his career ended in KC by injury but that can happen in this sport.

if hes not good enough for the chiefs at this salary, he wont be for any other team. he is not tradeable. only releaseable.

provided things work out and charles plays more soon, he is wayyyy better an option than 9/10's of the RB's out there. but you put him in a different system he is worthless. he would be overworked and undervalued. at least in KC he is an asset. he just needs to work the kinks out.

now, he gets reps, and yards. after the season he is tradeable upon renegotiations in salary :D

I don't think this is as big of a deal as some people on here are making it out to be. Granted I am not a doctor but he is missing a week because his knee got swollen. Not a huge deal IMO. It happens.

Reid and Childress both didn't seem overly worried about it in their press conferences. They basically just said his knee was up and down this week so they are going to play and it safe. Ware is a beast so they probably are not pushing him to play and being cautious.

He could be fine and good to go next week. If they say he is out for multiple weeks and likely not going to play this season then I'll get concerned but until then I'm not going to worry about it too much. I think he'll be okay.

My question is this. If we are being cautious, why the 2 plays against the Saints? He played well against the Faid, but had some flair ups as a result. The risk vs reward of those 2 snaps doesn't weigh out IMO.

I really hope he's not washed up. I want him to get his chance for a ring this year.

Pure speculation but it is probably Charles telling the coaches he wants to play some snaps. From what Reid has said Charles is constantly asking him to let him go out there and play.. He probably would play this week if the coaches would allow it.

He'll be back eventually and probably be fine. Gaines has had his knee flare up multiple times this season too and he is going to play this week,

I dont think so either...Chiefs have the luxury of not needing him for the next month or so. Schedule is pretty favorable...and Ware is playing great. If his knee has swelling...let it heal.

I'm optimistic...Chiefs would put him on IR if there was a serious issue.

I'm not buying the "he's washed up" BS...that's just internet babble.

Maybe, maybe not.

Do I want Charles to return to form? Absolutely.

But as I've said all year long, I don't expect it. Age, second ACL surgery and overall wear and tear on his body would all be huge factors in his return and so far, he hasn't been able to perform like the Charles of even 2015, let alone, 2012 (which is the year many pointed to as proof that he'd return to greatness).

No coach in his right mind would subject a running back coming off of ACL surgery, whose knee continues to swell after very few snaps, to a full load.

That's silly.

Slowly, Dane begins his metamorphosis into a homer beatdown artist.

Soon he will be shitting on Reid and Smith left and right! I give it six weeks until he's fully transformed to his old, glorious self.
