At least with the bat and ball question that was posted earlier you had to think about it for even a split second before you realized its just a long winded way of asking whats 10 divided by 2.

Here's a golden oldie

- An apple costs 40 cents, a banana costs 60 cents and a grapefruit costs 80 cents. How much does a pear cost?

PAChiefsGuy 03-24-2020 09:09 PM

Hell no I am not. At least I admit it. Unlike the other idiots on here

knowledge is knowing how to change a tire.

wisdom is doing it.

/movie line

I'm wise in some ways, not so much in others.

I like to say "I know a little about everything but not a lot about anything."

I'm under no delusions that I'm a smart guy.

LiveSteam 03-24-2020 09:42 PM

Its depends on the situation.

And the bar has been set so ****ing low.
So ya!
I think ive broken through.

lewdog 03-24-2020 09:45 PM

I am essential and a piece of shit.

Megatron96 03-24-2020 09:47 PM

I never actually answered the question. Yes, I'm smarter than most Americans.

eDave 03-24-2020 09:48 PM

Essential is a bit of a stretch.

With most of these types of riddles you have to get thinking on the right path, which is often predicated on quickly understanding what is actually being asked, like the ball question. If not you will get bogged down in a way that will never produce the answer and it’s hard to move off of what you think should produce the answer.

He could fix anything broken, an ace mechanic, he could grow the biggest tomatos, he knew how to get people to do what he wanted done, and in a way they wanted to do it.

I have a buddy who can't even change his oil, can't cook, can't play anything who is a lawyer.

Intelligence???

I can't imagine anyone knowing more "stuff" than myself but is that intelligence?

exactly.

I've never seen any players drink as much as those dudes cumulatively drank and still look absolutely in control. We watched for probably two hours and it was great. They were playing 8 ball on bar boxes for like $1000 a set. Cash on the table, that stuff is so fun to watch.

Shooters! Haha loved that place.

This .the math itself is easy
another example

In a lake, there is a patch of lily pads. Every day, the patch doubles in size. If it takes 48 days for the patch to cover the entire lake, how long would it take for the patch to cover half of the lake?
Spoiler!

I've heard that one before and after I was given the answer I just left thinking that it was reeruned. There's no logical reason to ever come to the answer.

When I heard it the didnt ask how much a pear cost and instead just asked, "How much is a pear?" The only thing I could think of was 2 as if it was a play on words. Then I find out fruit is sold by the vowel... stupid.
