Ragland was coming in for Darron Lee, not replacing Damien Wilson.

Ragland was primarily playing in base 43 looks on early downs. Wilson is fine as a tackler. The problem was that other options - Lee and Niemann - were getting exploited in the running game.

Wilson would play better and more aggressively as more of a strong-side backer - and would still come off the field on passing downs if they add a coverage-oriented guy in the draft.

You can stop freaking out about CB now. Is LB going to be the new spot? Or freaking out about Thornhill's recovery? Or getting impatient about Jones?

The stuff you mentioned is why he's going 28-40 and not 10-15, if he had what you want the Chiefs would have no shot at him.
