Titans will have nothing without him

I think it is media in cahoots with agents working to help players score a bigger payday.

I haven’t seen him take a hit like yesterday since Sorenson’s hit in the AFCCG.

Still exceptional once he gets moving. But maybe a little easier to chop down quickly than he once was. Meanwhile even 2 yard runs from Barkley look impressive as hell. That guy's a problem and the clear MVP, IMO. |

Barkley is indeed having an incredible season and showing why he was a very high pick (even though the Giants wasted him). I don’t disagree that he’s playing at a MVP level, but I would genuinely be surprised if he wins it. Much like last year when CMC probably deserved it more than Jackson, he didn’t win or even come close. As of this moment I feel that way about Barkley vs Allen. At this point I think it’s Allen’s to lose unless something bizarre happens. The Kelce’s labeled MVP as “Most Valuable Passer”, and at this point it’s hard to argue. |
1,037 of Barkley’s 1,499 yards have come before contact this season. He’s obviously incredible, but he owes a ****ton of his success this season to their offensive line.
Also, I think he has a much better shot at MVP a than CMC did last year. First and foremost, Barkley already has more rushing yards than CMC did all of last season. And he’s got like six games left. He has a real chance at smashing the single season rushing and scrimmage record this year. If he can even come close to both of those while the Eagles maintain the 1 or 2 seed and Allen stays on statistical track he’s on now, Barkley could take it. We’re also at the point in the season where hot take reactions shift the narrative every week. If Allen struggles one week and Lamar doesn’t, everyone will say Lamar is the clear favorite, etc. |

Nick Wright made a REALLY good point. The same people that say Lamar Jackson is the MVP will say, after every game they lost, that the reason they lost was that they didn't run the ball enough. I love that point. If the guy is the MVP, how can you say that the answer to winning any game is to take the ball out of his hands? Short answer is - you can't. Too many excuses are made for Lamar Jackson. Either he's the most important player on his own team, in which case HE'S a major reason they're 8-5, or Henry is the engine that should drive that offense in which case he's NOT the most valuable Raven, let alone the NFL's most valuable player. I think this is Allen vs. Barkley pretty easily. And I guess Goff could make a fight of it as well. |
Mahomes should win MVP just to piss people off more.

Compare those numbers to Josh Allen’s 2,600 passing yards at 7.6 YPA and 20:5 TD:INT ratio. I also don’t think you can make an argument against Lamar in the same breath as you defend Goff. There isn’t a QB on an elite team asked to do less than that guy is on a weekly basis. Swap Allen, Mahomes or Burrow for Goff this year and those guys go nuclear, I’m talking 2013 Peyton, 07 Brady type shit. |
