The only thing I’m not looking fwd to in the off season is this TB12 media blitz. Gonna have to tune out the NFL at least until draft day.

O.city 02-09-2021 08:59 AM

First post since Sunday.

I find myself not that upset. Hindsight, we were rolling out a god awful OL all the way across the board against that DL. It was obvious, we just dind't wanna see it.

Once we got behind and they knew what was coming, it wasn't gonna matter. You can't win in the league when a whole unit is full of not just backups, but 3rd stringers playing out of position.

It is what it is.

Why? It's like watching the worst movie ever, and then watching it again two days later.

Yeah man it’s not like the rest of the OL wasn’t getting absolutely butt****ed by their DL. Idc what position Wylie played. He was getting butt****ed at RG all year.

Sammy played roughly 20 snaps aka he was worthless bc he was hurt. Mecole was worthless. Robinson was worthless.
Kelce and Tyreek dropped passes they usually catch.

And then the defense got crushed. The Bucs destroyed their souls running the ball in the 2nd half. Literally did what they wanted until they called off the dogs when it was 31-9.

Almost nobody showed up except for Patrick and Butker.

Offensive line issues compound exponentially as you replace your starters. When you start to move them around, it just becomes an unmitigated disaster.

An OL unit can take 1 person getting hurt and still work okay with a solid backup. 2 backups is much more difficult but serviceable. When you're rolling out 4 backups AND they have to play out of position, you would get destroyed even by average D Lines.

We faced like a top 3 unit. You saw the result.

Eric Fisher would have absolutely made a huge difference not only because he's so much better than Remmers at LT but also because Remmers would then play RT where he's much better than Remmers at LT.

It's not a difficult concept to understand.

When it's jailbreak to your QB, the WR's and stuff just aren't gonna matter. You've gotta have some offensive line.

It's really amazing to me the Chiefs did what they did this year with the OL being what it was.

Part of that jailbreak was scheme. I’ll have to find the video but on many plays they’d rush Suh on the RT to cut Patrick off from moving outside the pocket to his right, then JPP went inside on the LT and Barrett just ran around from the right side to the left as they filtered Patrick that way. He got a free rush right in Patrick’s face.

Bowles had a great gameplan. It sucks that we got ****ed but it is what it is.

Now we have to adjust

Sure, gameplan and all. But teams have done that all year.

They were just more talented than we were up there. People are making this out to be more than it is.

The Bucs were able to get tremendous pressure with 4 guys and dropped 7. When you do that, the other team doesn't have a chance.

So yeah, we can adjust by not having 3rd stringers and dudes off the street play G and T.

I picture it like Jenga.

We kept removing guys and the structure kept standing.

We pulled out the Fisher block and...

I'll start paying attention again in training camp.

I deleted all the programs I usually watch...GMFB, Get Up, PFT, Cowherd, NFL Live & Total Access. When the draft starts getting closer, I'll start watching again.

The Tommy Brady ballwashing is disgusting. I know the guy has more rings than any NFL team now but do I have to hear about it constantly?

I now see where people want the NFL to retire the #12. Seriously?

Frazod 02-09-2021 10:06 AM

Well, let's see. The season ended with the worst lost in years, it's cold as **** outside, and I hate basketball and have zero interest in hockey.

The offseason is kind of self-ruining.
