What happened?

It really feels like when he blew his ACL and they won the bowl without him they decided **** him Dan started on a SB winner.

Not a good way to start the game. The offense has overall been good. They're just making critical mistakes. It's been uncharacteristic. Don't really know what's up.

I actually don’t think it’s uncharacteristic. This team has anyways been sloppy and prone to self inflicted mistakes. The difference right now is defenses are gladly giving us more chances to do it and we seem to be happy to oblige instead of imposing our will on them. It’s sickening to me how all season long we have not figured out how to bust these defenses and instead just run pointless running plays.

I think this will look like a much more balanced team by the end of the year. Spags will make changes (unless he wants to lose his job). Less snaps for Sorenson, possibly move Jones back to DT, get Gay involved, more aggressive calls, etc. They’re not going to give up 30 points every game. Things will balance out, especially as they start to play lesser offenses.

How many times did the Patriots have a rough start only to go to the SB?

Even with the way the defense has played, I still view most of the remaining games as should-win games. I don’t see any that should be chalked up as a loss. I don’t think a big winning streak is out of the question at all.

The remaining games are becoming MUST WIN games...

They’ve gotten old and complacent rather quickly. Time to change up the roster.

Chris Jones had a huge knock of being a lazy shit in college...amazing he's on a winner and gets paid and disappears.

Which is a fixable problem. In fact, I don’t know why he’s getting so many snaps now.

I'm pretty sure he could give up 5 straight 50+ yard completions and he'd still be playing every snap.

When you pay guys who have both their money and their championship, this happens sometimes. It is why the Patriots were constantly a revolving door during that dynasty apart from a few critical players.

That, therein, lies the problem.

This has been on-going since last season.

Hell, he got burned the hell out in the first half, and who did I see starting in the 3rd quarter?

Yep. The problem is not going to get fixed until the COACHING STAFF DECIDES TO BALL THE **** UP AND PUT HIM ON THE BENCH WHERE HE BELONGS!

Probably need to go 8-4ish. Very doable.

HFA might be unrealistic now, but this team doesn’t seem to play much better at home anyway.

Maybe it takes a game or two like this to force their hand. Spags isn’t going to allow Sorenson to get him fired.

They literally had Willie Gay on ST and not in defense for awhile...this team is dumb.

Get Patrick Mahomes to the playoffs and you have a legitimate chance at winning the Super Bowl. That's the only goal now: give Patrick a chance to put the team on his back when it counts.

ArrowHeader 10-10-2021 11:35 PM

Playoffs? Haha. We sunk ourselves on the Mahomes deal. Reid is washed. We aren’t a step or two behind the rest. We are a whole team away. Just pathetic.
