I knew Mahomes would get it together eventually; just a matter of when, and I wasn't sure it would be in enough time to make a run this year.

Where I had no faith at all was in the defense to get their shit together. I'm still not a fan of guys that have to be shamed into doing their jobs, but apparently it worked, and they've been much, much better. That's because the extremely highly paid front 4 is producing.

Hey, I'll take it. We're in a good spot.

If we can take out the Cowboys, I don't think anyone can stop 'em.

I’m not sure if you were one of the people calling this a bad team, but that crap was embarrassing. They had essentially one really shitty game. With almost the same roster that had won 25 out of 27 or whatever after week one. Even sillier was the talk that it was suddenly a terrible offensive team. As if Mahomes was permanently broken at 26 and Reid forgot how to scheme. Everyone should have expected the flukey turnovers to stop.

Even the criticism of the defense was way over the top. They did look terrible over the first month, but it’s basically the same roster as last year with a few solid pieces added. That doesn’t add up to “historically bad.” It was bound to turn around. The biggest problem was that they over-complicated the scheme early on.

That win sure felt good. Mahomes appears to have broken out of his slump. To not only win but blow them out...in their building....was fantastic! :)

Chris Simms was a QB who didn’t win. Now he’s an analyst who doesn’t win. His Dad was pretty good.

IMO, Chris has been terrific as an analyst. And the Chiefs offense and Mahomes have been struggling lately. Nothing wrong with him picking the Raiders. Everyone gets it wrong sometimes.

He had the worst record for picks of the people who picked the game.
