Smith was the QB for Hill's rookie season, but Hill is also a rare talent. Aside from Kelce, Maclin was the only other real threat.

Hardman - he played with Mahomes and was behind Kelce, Hill, Watkins in the pecking order. Since his rookie year, he really hasn't changed much with his production. REC's have increased but not the yardage really (YPC is 1/2 of what he had his rookie year and TDs have fallen.

Hardman was a beneficiary of Mahomes and the surrounding talent more than Hill was - Hill is just a different level. So, going out and finding the next Hardman... not really the plan, if it were me.

This isn’t about finding the next Hardman, or Tyreek for that matter. That wasn’t at all the point.

I get it... but you used those 2 guys as evidence that Andy can pluck rookies from the draft and turn them into success stories. Just providing a bit of background.

No, I said that Andy Reid took 2 guys that were still learning the position and got an impact year 1.

Nobody said anything about “success stories”.

Same thing really... no big deal.

Are you denying that those guys had an impact despite being incredibly raw? I don’t really see how that’s debatable.

It’s amazing that people are concerned about a rookie WR having an impact on this team when Andy Reid got so much out of Hardman and Tyreek their rookie years.

Those guys were still learning to play the ****ing position, more or less the offense, and they both had 500+ yards and several TDs.

It also helps when you have a future HOF QB.

Not sure it is an Andy thing but it is tough for a rookie wr to have an impact. Our problem is that it is looking like we need a late 1st rounder rookie Wr to be a solid #2 wr right out of the gate.

Tyreek is just different - yes, he had an impact. Hardman was just a guy, likely could have had one of a dozen other guys (rookie or not) at that spot in the depth chart put impactful numbers up. I don't think there was anything special about him being a rookie.

Your personal opinion of either of these guys is irrelevant to the point.

We’re talking about rookie WRs having an impact in Andy’s offense.

Also, Hardman really came along down the stretch this year, and he was already the best gadget guy in the NFL, so this idea that he’s a JAG is pretty silly.

He made the Pro Bowl his rookie year as a returner and had 538 yards and 6 TDs. That’s an impact by the very definition. How you personally feel about him as a player has literally nothing to do with the point.

Have there been any updates on this situation?

Rep for any useful answers. I don't have the time to read through 100 posts.

Jaguars probably won't trade anyway. KC won't give enough. Most fans would rather draft the next Cornell Powell rather than going higher than a 4th. End of story.

Capt_Von_Trapp 03-24-2022 11:00 AM

If he’s an up and coming player ready to breakout, why do the Jags want to trade him?

Nothing substantial, no.

Would the Wash Football team trade Scary Terry?

Looks like Sammy Watkins during his EJ Manuel tour.

Did Brad Peach sign this piece of shit yet?
