Hope I’m wrong.

I’ve never seen a more overrated sub 4 YPC back.

1000 yards from scrimmage. Including receptions.

Something CEH did as a rookie.

This is accurate but when discussing RBs and 1000 yard seasons that's usually about rushing yards.

Gonna be a whole new team. Out with the old in with the new. I think Williams asking price might be higher then Jones

Well, the only mention of 1000 yards in this thread is a tweet that specifically says "1000 yards from scrimmage." So not sure what to tell you.

Really bad take.

MVS is a Hardman clone? Why because they’re both fast? This offense relies on speed. Without Tyreek, we might as well have several guys with elite speed. That’s how you make up for no Hardman.

That stats RunKC posted about 40+ yard catches tells you everything you need to know. Only Tyreek has more than MVS since 2018.

The Jones signing makes a lot of sense when you think about how this team has struggled to run the ball against light boxes. He’s going to run the football very well in this offense. They just need a better receiver to round out the RB group.

I just feel like between MVS and Jones, there's nothing there that can't be found late in the draft. MVS is just straight line speed and played with a QB that can get the ball there. Jones is a pure runner, and from that video that was posted with his 2021 plays looks to offer not much more than anything we've seen from the plethora of RBs since Hunt.

I dont care to scout the draft any more so I cant say how its stacked, but I just look at these 2 signings and wonder if it was really necessary to pay up to $14M for them.

They wouldn’t have made this move if they hadn’t missed with the CEH pick. I still think the chiefs still have a pretty average group of running backs but it should be better than last year.

LMAO

And this is what this is all about. Posters become obsessed with the draft and automatically think a 6th round pick with automatically produce.

You understand that this team has a lot of holes and they aren’t just going to start and play 10 rookies, correct?

You could literally say this about any player at any position at this point of free agency. None of these guys are going to be or are supposed to be world beaters.

MVS has more 40+ yard catches than anybody not named Tyreek. That isn’t as easy to find in the draft as you make it seem, and the Chiefs need that NOW. They will absolutely draft somebody too, but that doesn’t mean that they will be ready day 1.

Do you ever see something you like at the store and then want to purchase it? Then you look at the price of it and reconsider the cost and if its really worth that much?

Urc Burry 03-26-2022 10:10 AM

I like Jones. He’s not perfect.. there’s a reason he was still a free agent. But he looks a lot like Kareem with the ball, and on routes

You don’t seem to understand the the Chiefs have to do some shopping either way.

They have a ton of holes to fill and they can’t all be filled through the draft. This is a numbers game.

It won’t stop them from taking 1 or maybe even 2 WRs. They had to sign one other way.

And that 5M # with Jones is incentive based. No telling what it really is.
