He also gives you a guy who can toggle between WR1 and WR2 if you’re worried about Toney staying healthy. Sounds like a good idea to me at the right price. Of course if you can find a young stud at a good value you go that route but I’m just being realistic about the wr market. There’s a reason the chiefs seem to have an eye on a lot of veteran WRs going into their final contracts |

On a one-year deal, to help mentor our young WR room? It kind of fits Andy's profile. |

Isn't OBJ getting a little long in the tooth for Veach? (That means he's getting old)
Plus I think certain teams will want him for more then what we will give for him. Not playing for a while will get him out of the discipline of learning the offense and Andy Reids offense in particular. Not to say he doesn't have talents but there is more to the game then that. He needs to be focused for a 17 game stretch and then some. |

Yes, a little long in the tooth for Veach. I wouldn't expect a big, long-term commitment. If this is a "biggest deal" situation, I don't think he comes to Kansas City. If it's something that balances getting paid with the opportunity to win another ringt and play with a good QB, I think KC is one of a few real contenders. The Jets, if they get Rodgers, would be the main competition/concern if the Chiefs really want him and it's the second scenario I mentioned. |

But yeah, I have to guess that KC won't win any bidding war for OBJ. About the only thing KC can use as bait is the very real chance that the Chiefs will be in the AFCCG, and probably the SB. "You want $$$, or you want immortality, OBJ?" |
