But he was not invited to NFL combine and his stats from Pro Day -

I am happy with the pick and he is a very good athlete, but he seems to already have this mythical quality that we all hope will make him a great player for the Chiefs

Was he 4.4 or 4.6 40? Quite a big difference!

Rainbarrel 04-29-2023 02:32 PM

He can be like a door bottom draft stopper against the Eagles soccer scrum. They trip me up

I think the only official time was 4.61 coming from his Pro Day, yet pretty well-known football media people are coming up with much faster and better times.

I have no idea where those numbers came from other than a creative agent that was trying to help his client.

It will be interesting to watch Thompson in preseason.

I'll buy in. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him at 250-ish by season opener. I doubt SFA has superior nutrition and weight training programs. I'll laugh when he blows by fatass Brown.

Did I hear that right? He ran a 4.4 40?

Sounded on the clip like Bucky said 4.56 maybe? Who the f**k knows I guess, looked pretty fast to me.

Been a long time since we had this.

He sorta looked like a smaller version of Jevon Kearse in that clip

Most intriguing pick of this draft, a classic outside the box roll of the dice on raw potential and skill

PHOG 04-29-2023 04:15 PM

Woah, that QB started to run for his life! LMAO

When we play the Bengals, this guy would give OBJ fits!

Thompson took a top-30 visit with the Chiefs, which makes him the second player in this draft class to have had a pre-draft visit with the team. He had pro day numbers that rivaled one of the top athletes in this class in Georgia DE Nolan Smith with 4.4 speed, a 40-inch vertical, and a 135-inch broad jump.
https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2023...a-bj-thompson/
Chiefswire.com reporting info about BJ Thompson that does not seem to be true.

Smith was a 4.39 and BJ was a 4.61. (Not close) Smith broad jumped 128". Thompson was 125" (close). Smith has a vertical 0f 41.5" and Thompson 37.5".

Maybe Thompson had some private workouts where his numbers were better.

Leonard Floyd meets Snoop Dogg

I might be crazy. But I think this guy excites me the most out of the draft?

That’s not to say I think he’ll be better than FAU. But as far as what he brings and where we got him
