I miss 1 o’clock games (12 o’clock for you midwestern ****s since I already know someone’s gonna say something!).

I honestly don't, there are way more games in the noon window so it lets me use my multiple tv setup to watch several games and then focus on the Chiefs when there's only a few other games on or none.

Yea, Chiefs rarely playing at 1 is great IMO. Then I can focus on fantasy.

It’s all the analytics bullshit. If you have a guy high on your board, you take him. You can take positional value into account but RBs, MLBs and TEs change games. We know that better than most. We don’t win this most recent SB without the contributions from Pacheco/McKninnon, Bolton and Kelce.

Different strokes, I guess.

The anticipation when we play night games ****ing kills me. Then it’s pretty much guaranteed I’m not going to be able to fall asleep until midnight or later, win or lose.

When we play at 1, I’ll usually just have the Chiefs game on and then Redzone on another screen so I can catch a little bit of everything around the league.

Sucks for the Lions!

That's 100% what they're banking on is a high scoring shootout to bring in the ratings. The Lions went into Lambeau and ruined Rodgers last game so Campbell should have them up for this. People are sleeping on that offense.

It should be a really nice test for our new defensive line guys against that OL too.

This is nice but I want to know when the rest of the divisional games are.

Week 1 - vs. Lions (TNF)
Week 4 - at Jets (SNF)
Week 5 - at Vikings
Week 9 - vs. Dolphins (Germany)
Week 11 - vs. Eagles (MNF)
Week 13 - at Packers (SNF)
Week 16 - vs. Raiders (Christmas)
Week 17 - vs. Bengals

Meh, this guy (unBelizeable) has been following me around from thread to thread recently, yapping like a chihuahua; I'm just swatting his nose with a rolled up newspaper of facts.

Also, look at how their defense performed in the first 8 games of the season vs. the last 9. They definitely started figuring some things out defensively after week 8 or 9.

" Lions draft was terribad." Really? Because virtually the entire NFL world thinks otherwise. ESPN, SI, PFF, BleacherReport, The Sporting News, The Athletic, basically every notable professional football media outlet graded DET draft at least a B, up to an A. Let me help: the NFC is a run-heavy conference, and DET obviously felt the need to move on from Swift, so they drafted a likely replacement with their first pick. Then they drafted a MLB, because they were one of the worst defenses vs. the run (allowed 5.2+ yds/carry in 2022) IN A RUN-HEAVY CONFERENCE. Then they drafted a plug-and-play TE, because Goff and the offense had a huge need for a reliable receiver between the numbers, because that's where Goff lives. And so on. They even drafted a possible replacement for Goff. Hence the parade of Bs and As grades for DET's draft class. Make sense now?

I already said that DET would win the North, about 6 months ago.

And I already said that KC would roll over DET. That's what "feast" means.

The Lions are gonna stall out at losing in the Divisional every year at best. At least until they lose their OC.

Bragging about picking the Lions prior to FA and the draft? You’re a complete ****ing idiot throwing darts blindfolded.

dlphg9 05-11-2023 11:53 AM

I just want a god damn Thanksgiving day! I'm so sick of the shitty ****ing Cowboys and shitty ****ing Lions getting that day. Detroit has never been remotely close to relevant and Dallas hasn't been relevant in decades.

The Cowboys and Lions getting Thanksgiving games is by far the worst tradition in all of sports. Why should the Cowboys be rewarded for continued mediocrity and Lions rewarded for being one of the worst franchises in all of sports?

Mecca 05-11-2023 11:54 AM

The Campbell one I get why people are worked up about but he was going to go higher than everyone expected, he would not have got past the Dallas/Buffalo section of the draft.

They felt they needed to get a young athletic MLB and if they didn't take him there they weren't getting him and they likely had him far ahead of everyone else on the board at the position.

MahomesMagic 05-11-2023 11:56 AM

I could not stop watching Detroit games last year because I kept wondering how the %&% they were scoring so much with that roster.

Their OC is going to be a head coach this cycle.

Because Jared Goff is like Trent Green, if you surround him with good players he'll be a good QB.

Where did I say anything about the Divisional? I said they would probably win their division.
