Going for my first colonoscopy at nearly 61 years old in mid March. Having an endoscopy at same time. Third endoscopy. GERD, Barrett's esophagus and Hiatal Hernia. Doctor's going in from both ends at once. I'm being gang banged by my Gastroenterologist. :spock:

29 and already getting colonoscopies. Did you ever consider that maybe you just enjoy having things put in your keester more than the discomfort of the prep? Not that there is anything wrong with that..

Just a thought........ROFL

LMAO. I have honestly lost track man. I got C diff in 2012 which is a nasty infection that we all have in or gut that is dormant. I had my first when I was 18 and atleast 2 more that I remember. Endoscopy as well.

Although I can understand the Jealousy. 61 and no scope vs 18-29 and 3 or more. You’ve been missing out man. Better late than ever tho

When my grandad had his first there was a new nurse working and it was her first day. She said “Mr redacted have you had this done before?)

He responded in a high voice “no but I’ve always wanted to”. She went Chiefs RED ROFL

Bumping this...

Was thinking about my pops this morning as the playoffs ramp up and wanted to take a moment to ask all of you to do three simple things that would help me honor him:

1) Go to your doctor regularly
2) Get your colonoscopies
3) Never, ever - and I mean NEVER - stop believing in our Kansas City Chiefs

Great advice! I'm turning the big 40 this year and have to get a colonoscopy. Not going to lie pretty nervous about it

Just do the Cologuard bro its simple.

You're supposed to get it done every three years but it's an easy process.

During the 70's and 80's, being a fan and watching the KC Chiefs was just like having a colonoscopy.

I am in a similar situation. My mother is 93 and is just existing. She's not in any pain and we have hospice care. It's tough because she's still mentally aware yet doesn't want to do anything except lie around.

It sucks however it's her choice and her life. I can't imagine getting to the point where I just am waiting to die. It's hard to watch.

There’s honestly nothing to be nervous about. It’s a piece of cake.

Truth. This video will demonstrate how easy it is.

Certainly better than the alternative. Thank you for bumping this thread I'm sorry your dad & family had to go through this. Today would have been my mom's birthday. Her story sounds pretty similar to your dad's never got a colonoscopy til she had some health issues then boom stage 4 cancer. We weren't really aware there was a family history of it until that happened unfortunately.

If there's anything that's good comes from it maybe someone reads this and gets checked out maybe saves their life.

Hang in there Duncan you are a good man and I'm sure your dad was very proud of you

Make sure to remove your butt plug before you go in.

My deepest sympathy for your loss.

I'm sorry about your mom.

Cancer sucks and time is a thief.
