Honestly...it depends on who is whispering in his ear that the team is vulnerable without him.

Sometimes agents give really bad advice.

Kelce is my favorite Chief All-Time (along with Mahomes, duh), but Reid will adjust and this team will be fine after Kelce retires.

All the "Jones might sit out until week 8" talk is laughable.

In hard negotiations or cards, the key to winning is to get the opponent to believe that you truly will burn it all down when in reality it's just a ploy.

I bet Chris comes back on September 3rd or 4th meaning he has to miss the first guy but is still there to get his check.

If his agent really gets him to miss game checks then fire the agents ASAP

I said we were screwed....not done.

What if Andy retires the same time as Kelce...

Wonder how many fans thought the same thing about Leveon Bell

I also believe holdouts are a fair part of the process if they're not getting what they need out of the negotiation. Yeah, it sucks, but it's the only card most of them have.

I do NOT believe fans should be expected to not be frustrated with players in this process if that player constantly posts a ton of bullshit on social media just for the lolz and trolling.

You wanna troll? Fine, you're gonna get what you wanted. An angry mob that's going to turn on you and tell you to go **** yourself.

Go **** yourself, Chris.

My problem with Chris Jones is I don't think he has negotiated with the Chiefs in good faith. I'm guessing they had the general parameters of a contract worked out, and then for whatever reason, CJ's camp reneged. I just don't think Veach would have let it get to this point otherwise. He'd have been dealt before the draft.

The exception is not the rule.

Reid is what makes this team go, even more than Mahomes. Expect 1 maybe 2 years of success afterwards.

Unless we fall into another all-time great coach the fall-off will be rough. Can't stay on the mountain top forever.

Chris Jones is a generational talent

We generally assume that the player isn't a complete idiot. Turns out Bell was. We'll see about Chris.

I agree...but sometimes idiots travel in packs. ;)

Wouldn’t be opposed to sending his ass to the Bears next year. Oughtta teach him not to screw with the Chiefs.
