The OP in that thread was just saying what we all thought to be logical at the time. It was a perfectly reasonable take based on the evidence we’d seen to that point.

This idiot actually is questioning if we should just punt on the playoffs altogether and not even take a chance to make a run.

Big yikes.

Hi,
It's understandable to have differing opinions, but this suggestion seems overly cautious. Playoffs are the culmination of a season's effort, and teams often surprise even in the face of uncertainty. While it's crucial to weigh risks, completely abandoning the playoffs seems extreme. It's a time-honored tradition in sports, offering excitement, drama, and the chance for underdogs to shine. Let's trust in the spirit of competition and embrace the opportunity for teams to prove themselves on the grand stage. After all, isn't the unpredictability of sports what makes them so captivating?

Honestly it doesn't seem to matter where Veach drafts - he's finding talent. And he always seem to knock the late round picks out of the park so...

How the **** could you possibly have doubted Mahomes and Reid? Good gawd I just don't understand people. Begging for a higher draft pick to miss the playoffs and we win it all? You went full petezilladeberg. Never go full petezilladeberg

The Chiefs are a different team in the playoffs. They don't look like their normal dominant self. But they can get hot and still go all the way. Look at the 2021 Bucs, that team was underwhelming. They went in as the 5 seed and went on the road all the way to the Superbowl. Then they got to play against a Chiefs team without an offensive line and won it all. Nobody thought that they would make it all the way. That can be the Chiefs this year. There isn't a team in the playoffs that should be able to beat the Chiefs if the Chiefs don't turn the ball over multiple times. The Ratbirds are the top seed and they won't score 20 points against us without turnovers.

I was pretty down on the Chiefs when this thread was posted, so I was afraid of what I had posted. Thankfully, I kept a level head. Lol. I even nailed it on the Ratbirds

Close! We're only one pick away from being the first in every round (except the first).

This is sarcasm, right? I mean nobody in their right mind thinks that winning back to back Superbowls is bad thing because it screws up our draft position. Mortgaging the future is what the Rams did for their Superbowl. Also, Veach can find talent anywhere in the draft. If this post is serious, get help.

We all know in our heart of hearts that no matter how much we hope and wish we are not winning the SB this year.

As much as I want to win and have hope for a miracle I think I would just as soon see the team go ahead and lose out and get a draft pick that is 5 or so positions higher and get the better athlete in every round. I believe that would help us more in the future.

Hey bud, you didn't get your wish!

"Super Bowl 58" can close down so many future conversations. Scary
