There has been a ton of grumbling all around the internet about how Andy gets too conservative in 4th quarters and allows teams to come back. Needs to put the ball in Mahomes hands, etc etc. Today he went for the killshot, it was super aggressive and I was shocked by it, but you also can't have it both ways.

Run baby Run needs to be the theme with pass as the afterthought.

It’s gotten to the point where when we go downfield I expect an incompletion and am pleasantly surprised by a completion.

The deep passing game is a mess right now.

The exception is if it is going to Hopkins. He manages to come up with the ball unless he's getting mugged.

I'm on the opposite side. I've actually been really pleased the past few years with how we generally handle end-of-game, clock management, etc. It's been a stark contrast to what was a major weakness for Andy Reid during his otherwise amazing career. The fact they had mostly fixed that has been a huge difference maker. Today shook my confidence a little to see a late game decision that was cartoonishly awful.

I finally watched the highlights and saw that it was literally a one-man route. That is hilarious.

As max protect as you can get and Mahomes still got creamed. It was Kelce’s fault too; he missed a block.

I’m still not going to worry about it because we literally sent one guy on a route and he was comically open. Playcall worked as intended.

I think you are looking at this with the benefit of hindsight. We have had a ton of games where the offense just needed to kill the clock but we got overly conservative and the other team got the ball. It’s just that we haven’t lamented those because the defense has been so good.

I wonder if that’s why Kelce was so angry and skipped pleasantries walking off the field after the game. I’m not convinced Mahomes and Worthy connect on with good blocking, but Mahomes had to get that out way too quickly for having 9 people protecting him on the play.

Wow Kelce just totally whiffs on the block and Mahomes gets hit as he’s throwing the ball.

This play wasn’t on Worthy on Mahomes. 100% Kelce

Anyone know why Andy was over by the bench having a discussion with Kelce at one point in the 4th quarter? It looked like Andy was getting on him...but I don't want to speculate...

Probably had to do with that drive where he dropped passes and looked like him and Mahomes were on 2 different pages. Kelce just looks done mentally. If we win the Superbowl I think he retires and goes to Hollywood.

When is the last time any of them played meaningful football on a Friday?

IDK; they just seemed like they didn’t really care if they won or lost. Playoffs were pretty much already going to be a thing, while now it is a thing. It’s a holiday, they all still had turkey in their guts, it’s not an important game to win. And they played like that.

The raiders too. Lots of mental errors and bad coaching. It’s like they didn’t really know how to win it either.

Weird game. Weird win. So what. Next up. Let’s go. Win is a win. Etc etc.

But still seeing the “refs helped the chiefs” is what’s really the craziest take from any casual fan to long time pundit. And they are still saying it.

Oh well, control what you can control. Be happy. Or be a miserable prick.

Thanks for posting the video. I knew Mahomes had to get rid of the ball early. Didn't realize it was Kelce who whiffed on the block.

That is just absolute dogshit by Kelce. There was no effort whatsoever. This entire game was a steaming pile of turds, as every game as been the past month. Hell, I’d argue we’re looking worse by the week, yet somehow pulling wins out of our asses.

That luck is going to run out, and someone is going to come out one of these weeks and just kick the living shit out of us like the Tampa Bay Super Bowl. Quite frankly, we need it. Someone needs to embarrass this team and make them play with a little pride again.

It looked like he could've caught it without even diving to me.
I dunno.
