Many (not a majority but plenty) have turned into spoiled bitch princesses. I swear if the Chiefs win the Super Bowl 17-13, you’re gonna get a bunch of people on here saying:

“This feels like a loss”

Sack up, chumps.

Everyone wants to bitch. Humans will always gravitate to the negative. It's in our nature.

Taylor got his ass whipped worst than Morris last week by some shit stain and the week before that he got his ass whipped by Von Miller.

I find it rather bizarre how many on CP both seem to think it is KC's destiny to threepeat and there is no future draft pick that shouldn't be given up in the pursuit of the threepeat...

But yet also so despair over the team...

So before the season Vegas gave odds of a KC SB win of around 20%? Better than any other team, but a far cry from destiny. If the CP were so sure of their convictions, that would seem a better bet than the S&P 500? No?

Yes, I'm enjoying the ride. Yes, I see serious problems. Yes, some other teams have them. But at some point, drafting at the end of the round, combined with having worse than usual luck on the injury front, might make even the 20% rather optimistic.

But BV has made some good pick ups without spending too much with Hunt, Hopkins and hopefully the new LT and see how players come back from injury. And see how the team flips on the switch come play offs.

Short answer is yes

Long answer is these games literally mean nothing to this franchise right now and you can see it in how the players are approaching and playing the games. Why anybody would spend all of their time bitching and moaning about a 11-1 team coming off two SBs because they aren’t winning by a certain amount of points in that context is beyond my comprehension

I worry about the health of our franchise QB in these games because of the line play. Playoffs won’t matter if Mahomes is toast.

I don't go into the GDT or bother with Reddit but I think 98% of us here have valid critiques and criticisms.

No one over 30-35 is unappreciative or hating on the Chiefs after all we have been through over the years before Mahomes.

I don't need blowouts but I sure would like to see one game where we play good football and win comfortably by 12-16 controlling the whole game.

We have been a hot mess all season, including Mahomes. One drive we look unstoppable and then the next 3 we look like the Matt Cassel era.

We have been putrid in the redzone, soft as hell in the passing game and have 6 games we easily could have lost.

It's hard to picture this type of performance making it to through the playoffs and three-peating.

100% - these game matter because our QB is getting hit… A LOT. 10 sacks in the last 2 games and hit 20 times. He’s taking a ****ing beating nearly every game lately. This shit ABSOLUTELY matters.

I understand the frustration with the team, however, I do not understand any ounce of disbelief.

They're going to be the toughest out in the playoffs. I still firmly believe, just as we witnessed the past two years, they are going to turn it up several notches in the playoffs when it comes to focus, intensity, and game plans.

They have a huge LT issue. Guess what? They did last year too. Smith didn't even start until the playoffs began coming off over a month of rest. This year it's Humphries. IDC if he isn't as good as he was last year even - he will be a clear cut upgrade over the current shituation that loses all too often, all too fast.

Joshua Williams showed life at CB2 yesterday. We can get by with his talent and experience. The pass rush showed more life than it has in awhile, thanks in large part to Omenihu's return (which looked better than I anticipated and will only improve).

Hollywood is coming to add more speed and ability to separate vs. man. Worthy looks better every week. Hopkins has earned Pat's trust to win the back-shoulder ball, and that is a huge development - believe me. Pacheco will only knock more rust off.

I honestly wasn't even that mad yesterday. This is just who this team is going to be as long as they continue to get everyone's best shot week in and week out while they play the long game, doing all they can to survive and advance to the real season.

They need to keep winning and earn the bye this year. I won't dispute that. But if/when they do, look the **** out. If you don't believe, go ahead and get that crow ready for when the bill comes due.

I posted in the other thread about the game day experience at Arrowhead. We have newer fans in our section, mid-20's or "recently converted fans" who are just insufferable, especially yesterday. The group in their 20's started chanting "fire spags" when it was 17-16. They were calling Mahomes a pussy, and some folks a few rows behind me who based on their comments the entire game, never played a snap of football in their lives were yelling similar things like Andy, Spags, Mahomes and Kelce could actually hear them. It's like little kids screaming at their Mom for not giving them the right peice of candy after they have had a handful already. It's actually quite disgusting at how insufferable these folks are during the golden era of Chiefs football.

chiefzilla1501 11-30-2024 09:19 AM

I mean, look we can all be critical of the team. I think most of us here have been critical at times while knowing Reid and veach and mahomes are elite and we need them here as damn long as they want to keep doing this. I was on veach a little last year while also recognizing he’s the best in the nfl. That kind of criticism is not only healthy, but keeps us grounded.

Last year, some of the idiots that wanted mahomes benched but a Looooooottttt of the idiots who wanted veach fired was bad. But this year a lot of idiots are saying Reid is cooked. I can tolerate this shit but those people need to be thrown into Siberia.

Wallcrawler 11-30-2024 09:26 AM

They're performing in games like they were last year, except for the fact that instead of losing these games, the bounces, and yes to an extent, the flags are coming our way instead of the other team.

There's like 4 games right off the top of my head that we're pretty much decided by one play, or no call from officials.

Toney tip drill pick 6 against the Lions, and then 4th quarter drop in fg range.

Toney offside against Buffalo, negating the go ahead td on a Kelce pitch.

MVS wide open drop against Philly for the late lead.

MVS tackled 3 days early late against the packers, deep I their territory.

Four losses last season that could have been wins. Then the unmitigated disaster against the Raiders, the team figured it out and went on a soul tearing road trip through the playoffs and took out the absolute top tier teams.

Clean up the o line play, which with the arrival of Humphries, should at the very least bring some consistency to the LT spot. It's not a coin flip for Pat to think okay, am I instantly screwed, or is he actually going to you know, move.

When Mahomes was getting time, he was looking much better. He'll even the play he got crushed on, he threw a perfect no look strike to Watson for the td.

Andy can aid this consistency by sticking with a consistent rushing attack. How you watch Pacheco bust loose, and then huve him only one more carry after is PTSD inducing flashbacks of Jamaal Charles busting huge plays and then never sniffing the football again.

Becoming one dimensional is not the answer. Andy called that game after the huge Pacheco run like we were down 3 scores under 4 minutes. Completely abandoned the run.

This team has a history of "flipping a switch" and getting it right when it matters. Post season. They've already punched their ticket, so there's plenty of time to focus on cleanup.

Style points meant dick in the playoffs. The grind it out smashmouth play we adopted last year ended up being way more important.

I've convinced myself that it doesn't matter if we win by 1 or 2 points. The likelihood that anything comes down to point scored being a tie breaker is slim and worst case we play some road playoff games. We weren't supposed to do it last year. Last year the narrative was our WRs sucked and it wasn't our year to win it all and then we did.

**** it we still have the mandate of heaven, we're going to 3 peat and a bunch of KC cardiologists are going to be buying yachts in 2025.
