pitiful.

We have done worse. A couple years ago against Minny or Cleveland we got walked 11 or 12 times and lost the game 1-0.

Great fundamental baseball. Really having your head in the game there.

All 3 bailed out Wood.

Just getting in on this and I'm sure it was covered when it happened but wtf,Coco tries and throw out a runner at home letting the baserunner advance to 2nd and then runner scores,a dropped possible double play ball,9 walks and can't score one of them, the three things you mentioned.Absolutely frustrating and it has me concerned when it comes time to start playing the more elite teams again.

Here's to hoping they get their heads out of their asses.

I still hang this on Avilles. Though it's hard to let Teahen off the hook. DDJ a little easier to cut some slack...not much but a some.

I just still can't get over how you look at strike 3 down the middle in that situation. It just doesn't register. ****ing choke!

Yeah, he should have took one for the team there.

Sure-Oz 05-20-2009 09:53 PM

Im pretty sure if dejesus took that pitch in the leg, the pain wouldve traveled to his lungs and it would've crushed his lungs and he would've died on the field

Thig Lyfe 05-20-2009 09:54 PM

In the golden age of baseball, Teahen and DeJesus would both be shot for those at-bats.

He's looking fastball from a dude that brings it mid-90s. It's the easiest of the three to understand when Wood uncorks a high-quality breaking ball.

DeJesus being a pussy doesn't surprise me. But it sure as **** irritates me.

Aviles isn't even worthy of discussion at this point. He's not a ML player.

See I see it the other way around. You have 2 strikes on you then you have to swing at anything close. DDJ on the other hand was more of a natural reaction. Stupid, but instinctive.

DeezNutz 05-20-2009 09:56 PM

And the Royals vag of the game is: David my right leg feels great! DeJesus.

Here's to you, David (you piece of ****ing monkey shit)!

You couldn't have possibly read the whole story, so apparently you remember it as well. :D

Sure-Oz 05-20-2009 10:00 PM

9 walks and zero of them crossed the plate

FML

Sure-Oz 05-20-2009 10:05 PM

Be nice if Detroit would lose sometime

OmahaChief 05-20-2009 10:06 PM

My issues with the 9th

1. Billy should have never been allowed to swing at 2-0. Wood was nowhere near the plate and he wings at a decent enough pitch but should have not swung.

2. Teahan looking like he has never seen a major leaguer throw a curveball

3 DDJ being DDJ

They are becoming what everyone thought they'd be last year.

I have a feeling that they're going to run and hide before the season's over. We might finish 2nd, but, unfortunately, I could see this being a distant 2nd.

Sure would be nice. Also, if that fat **** would stop hitting .440, I'd be grateful.

petegz28 05-20-2009 10:18 PM

Well these last few games scream that Hillman's sermons on fundamentals are not working. Granted they should not have to be preached. Hitting the cutoff man, turing clutch Dp's to hold the lead and not walking in runs...oh and not looking at strike 3 with bases loaded in th 9th 1 out and not jumping out of the way of a ball that would bring in the tying run......those are the things winning teams do.

And yes, Butler needs a talking too about swinging at what I say was ball 3 with no strikes on him
