I think we should ban Setsuna for being a Jaguars fan and a pussy. Joey is not injuring himself because of CP. He's injuring himself to get attention. By watching his video and posting it here, all you are doing is enabling this negative behavior. Further, by lifting his ban you would also be enabling this type of behavior.

That wouldn't be CP fault. The guy has problems outside the realm of CP, he just uses it to get attention.

Because he's not always in touch with reality... hence things like that video. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the suicide/CP thing just saying a person who has been suicidal in the past... which he has talked about... isn't someone who is reacting logically to much of anything.

He's literally begged for help before. There's a thread somwhere when he was sitting by his dads grave for hours and I told him he should go home I think instead of drowning himself in his depression and he thought I was leaving so he asked me to stay and talk to him. I did and he was fine but I worry about him.

I know a lot of people don't like the guy but I do. He's like my troubled little brother. Actually my second troubled little brother. Maybe that's why I care about him, he reminds me of how a real brother of mine used to be.

From what I know of Joey he does get some counseling and is on some meds.

With all due respect (and to be blunt), it really doesn't matter who likes him or who doesn't. He needs help and JFC, I just came back and all and have about 10 million things going on, but I'll be more than happy to make a phone call to have someone check in on him.

I don't dislike the kid. I'm just not going to enable him. He has resources. I know he's involved in a Catholic Charities Mentor program I've volunteered with in the past in addition to the state's involvement with regard to probation and rehabilitation. He's not on an island. But I'd encourage anybody who wants to check in on him to contact him on facebook. He's not hard to find.

Tell him that I want him to find a local charity that benefits at-risk children who are products of drug abusing parents. I want him to volunteer with them no more than 2 hours a week and have their director sent me a letter when he's reached 40 hours. Then we'll talk about bringing him back. But he can't just do 40 hours in a month because that would be neglectful of his own family. He has to do it slowly. He has to find the charity and go volunteer with them. I know there are several in his part of town.

TBH, I think the whole situation is kind of whack. There's a lot of things that lead me to believe this dude is deeply troubled.

Personally, I find it equally disturbing that some find it funny. I mean for crying out loud you've got a guy who has: 1) served time 2) has a deep obsession for this place 3) is making videos of him cutting himself.

I wouldn't recommend him counseling someone else. I recommend he get counseling himself.

Just got a text from Joey and to echo SR's post he does seem to understand the video was the wrong thing to do. He's dealing with that with some help. He's also interested in taking Phobia up on his offer but it's not completely up to him right now. I have to believe he'll get through this and he appreciates everyones support.

Lord have mercy, I don't expect he'll be counseling anybody. He'll just be helping with whatever the director of that organization needs done whether it's cleaning and painting around their facility or helping to deliver stuff to their clients.

Clearly, I'm not his daddy but I've tried to be a positive mentor for him in the past. Based on things he's said, I think some of that has been effective while he's made choices in his life to stand by his family and find honest work rather than stealing off the streets to support a drug habit.
