Wanting your front office to try and get a good QB, and being happy everyone but one guy appear to suck in the draft, seem completely counter-productive to me.

Without have anyone decent to compare him to in the draft, it makes it even riskier. I'd hold out hope that Barkley puts on a show and makes Geno step up. Taking the best QB in a QB pool of duds isn't something I would hope for.

Even if he fails. Roating the first and second picks in each round gives lots of opportunities for quality players. This draft should make a nice difference even if the #1 flops.

If a player sucks and never ends up starting a game in their life, than clearly that is a bad result. If they go on to be a hall of fame QB, then that is a good result. Options for both good result and bad result = risk

I went back and looked at the #1 picks back to 1999 (Tim Couch) Geno is arguably a better prospect than EVERY SINGLE QB except Luck. Of course, you will say i'm wrong, but I would like you to tell me WHY I am wrong. Is it Geno's impressive accuracy? How about his insane TD/int ratio? What about his imcreasing numbers every year?
