Oh, and by the way, I fully expect that we will continue our losing streak in Bowl Games. No team takes Bowl Games to a new reerun level like K-State. That said, the festivities leading up to the game and the atmosphere are too much fun to pass on.

Hoping for a miracle, but expecting more of the same shitty bowl play.

I have thought about it, but since nobody in our family is going to be able to go, and I end up having to pay everything for myself, which isn't any fun, I won't be able to go, unfortunately.

Have a great time. I went to Arizona last year for the Fiesta, great times, except for the shitty game.

I'd probably have gone to San Diego, but frankly much as I love travelling, I'm tired of Phoenix. Been there several times now.

I would have gone to either Houston or San Antonio here, much more manageable and cheaper.

I like Phoenix and I like warm weather. So, I never tire of sunshine and golf in December/January.:D

No, it's terrible. That's what you get with crappy recruiting though. I understand that folks want to give this team a pass. That's normal for KSU fans. I'm supposed to "be happy" that Bruce Weber is coaching basketball. But I'm not. I refuse to allow the kind of thinking that allowed basketball to wither on the vine for so many years, to spill over into football.

This program needs to find some closers for recruiting.

Statistically, KSU is 36th in the nation defensively. And 4th in the Big 12.

Plus, they did lose a lot of upperclassmen including Arthur Brown, and to be in the 36th in the nation, especially with playing teams like Oklahoma State and Baylor? That's pretty solid, in my opinion.

I thought the offense was more of a issue, especially with the 2 QB system. I never was a believer in that system, and I still will continue to not believe in it as well.

I'd personally would have rather play Sams than Waters, but that's just me.

Lies, damn lies and statistics. This D is terrible. I watched them as they looked helpless against NDSU, BU, OU, TCU, UT, OSU. It's a result of poor recruiting.

K-STATE AD GETS CONTRACT EXTENSION

Kansas State Athletics Director John Currie has agreed to a contact extension through 2019. Currie is getting a $100,000 raise, bumping his salary to $575,000.

“Our athletics department has achieved unprecedented success the past four years under John’s tremendous leadership,” said K-State President Kirk Schulz. “With continued excellence in the classroom, record fundraising, dramatic facility improvements benefiting all of our student-athletes and three conference championships last year, K-State is truly recognized as a national leader in intercollegiate athletics. John’s vision and partnership also have been critically important to the entire university family as we continue to work toward becoming a Top 50 public research university by 2025.”

The KSU athletics department was a mess when Currie arrived in 2009. Since then K-State has improved its facilities, including the new West Stadium Center at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, Basketball Training Facility, Intercollegiate Rowing Center and Mike Goss Tennis Stadium, and launched K-StateHD.TV.

Last season, K-State became only the fourth BCS school since 1998 to win conference titles in football, men’s basketball and baseball in the same year.

Who was the guy KSU had a few years ago that transferred? He was a pretty good recruit but played really soft and never lived up to his talent...had kind of a baby face IIRC.
