Yep. Got it to him with the plastic from shipping still on it. It takes a while for him to edit the video and publish it to his channel. He did get all the footage from the start.

He did make this recap video and post it on Facebook. Can't embed, sorry.

I here ya man. I don't even like the color green.

I was going to get a Red one or the Blue on all the way up until the day I ordered. Wife convinced me that if I'm going retro, go all the way.

Like Miles mentioned, I wanted something different than what was on the road. It certainly qualifies for that criteria.

I love it now. Still hate the color green.

Thought you chose retro all the way with that green since that was a look back on the classics/how you liked old ones? Again not my preference, but can't trash that logic.

Yeah my buddy had a green 71 scat pack. Ran like a bat out of hell back in the day. That memory is what made me look a closer at them as a possibility. I would have went with the orange if it was available.

If I had not been a little paranoid about the sport seats on the 335i, I'd already bought the BMW. Funny how it turned out.:hmmm:

That seems to back up the decision on the green then as what you wanted for a badass muscle car with some nostalgia. Sounds like the color you actually wanted so just own it.

And on the BMW funny how those work when hunting up a car. I far prefer how you ended up with something so unique vs. a prior model 335 coupe. I had a 335 coupe and loved driving it but annoyed me that I saw the same color and car everywhere which made me want to get something different.

Miles 06-19-2015 11:29 PM

I think you also have the same color as the first hellcat totaled in Colorado the same day the guy bought it.

Yep, I wanted something unique. I got it. Went to a car show this am. Lambo's, Ferrai's, Vipers, tricked out drifters etc. My car was one of the more popular. It's currently the only one in the South east. People had heard about the SCAT Pack Shaker and wanted to check it out. Evidently that Richard from Fast and Loud is a popular show. The wanted to see the Shaker also.

Yeah, I don't regret the color choice. Glad I got the retro color. People at the car show loved it. It will throw you back in your seat with the pedal half way to the floor.

Fun Hellcat fact for you from my dealer...................

17% of all Hellcats sold are wrecked on the first day the owner takes possesion of the car.

While I wouldn't choose that color for most cars, it fits that car and is growing on me. With the tinting on that car it looks 100% more badass. Green and black is very badass. I bet your won't see much micro-marring on that color either. **** YOU swirls!

gblowfish 06-20-2015 10:07 AM

Wow, that's pretty man. My wifey wants a purple Challenger with a KSU license plate holder.

I just paid the sales tax on my Lesbaru, and plates for two years. Love the new car smell.

Agreed. Only because of the retro heritage history does it work. Put it on a modern car like a Lexus, it would look like shit.

The tinting truly sets that car off. It just looks like those two colors were meant to go be together on that car. I got a shitload of compliments today at the car show. They encouraged me to enter the car shows. Updated muscle cars always do well especially when they have no mods on them.

Not a single factory swirl on the paint. No flaws either. I've been through 7 rain storms so far. Not a single rain spot on my car. That paint sealant that Garry Dean put on my car is fantastic.

The M5 was dropped just a TAD! I'm unloading it in December for a smaller M4 or M3.

Sweet ride...Yeah..never buy new..ever. For $30K...you can find a $50-60k car with 40,000 miles. Let some other sucker eat the depreciation..

I've been thinking about getting out of the Porsche game and getting a M3....just my car is so unique. I see a few M3's everyday around here...I like the M-roadsters from 1999.

Good to see you SR, were you around to see this? http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...&postcount=137

Meh, for that $20k, you get a brand new car under warranty and a maintenance agreement for ~4 years (and exactly the way you want it, which depending on the car & options, can be a lot easier)..... 100,000 miles on a $50k car = 50 cents/mile, or add 60,000 miles to a $30k/40,000 mile car = 50 cents per mile.

Of course, any number of options could be the best depending on the circumstances.
