I am officially worried...Toronto knows they can come in and take 2. Also, their bullpen will now be completely fresh b/c Estrada probably pitches a complete game now.

Are they supposed to be worried about their "fresh" bullpen?

Maybe because he always loses when he starts a game in the playoffs. It might give them a better shot at winning on Friday.

A fresh Toronto bullpen is still a crappy bullpen.

He called us the best offense in baseball yesterday. Today, we get one-hit.

Relax guys, they just want to clinch in front of their fans. Plus Glass probably ordered them to lose so he can make some more playoff game $$$

Three7s 10-21-2015 04:20 PM

I know a lot of people thought highly of this offense, but the one reason I held back on that assessment is because our lineup would look completely outclassed against random pitchers that have no business shutting down an offense that's billed to be among the best in baseball. Looking at you, John Danks.

petegz28 10-21-2015 04:20 PM

well im out...we're probably getting shut out and somehow will have to win this in 7 cause that's how it goes

Definitely seems to be the trend. To be 'Bumgardenered'

CaliforniaChief 10-21-2015 04:21 PM

Gotta tip the cap to Estrada...fantastic outing. He's hitting his spots, changing speeds, doing everything right.

And yeah, Volquez got squeezed HARD in the big inning, and Ned waited way too long to hook him.

That's true of every single team though. The Toronto offense got shut down by a guy who throws 86 yesterday.

One of the few things he actually gets right. He's a terrible commentator who usually has nothing to ad.

Hah, this loss does oddly make the Royals a ton of money.

Its why the players are only permitted to share in the playoff profits for the mandatory games of the series, MLB doesn't want the players to have an incentive to prolong the series.

Ceej 10-21-2015 04:24 PM

Why are people saying game 7?

When it will be concluded Friday night..

duncan_idaho 10-21-2015 04:25 PM

Great effort by Estrada. He's made a fantastic adjustment today and been outstanding.

Ned went an inning too deep with Volquez again, and it burned them this time. Getting squeezed on strike 3 vs. Bautista really hurt, but Volquez shouldn't have had that much rope from Yost.

So, where does it all go? Does Glass get all the money or does MLB get more of a share?

For those of you under 40, in 1977 the Royals had to just win 1 out of 2 games at home to go to the WS and they did not do it.

The Royals get a really big chunk, Toronto gets a decent chunk, and MLB gets some.

Players are aced out after game 4 of the ALCS/WS or game 3 of the Division series

It's crazy. It's like guys, we have this pitcher named Yordano Ventura. Throws the ball really hard, does a pretty good job. We have 3 (more likely 2) shots to win a game, have faith.

Price doesn't worry me and Ventura has been super solid.

I'd be surprised if this series went to game 7 - then I may be a little worried.

Jays would go with Stroman, I'd assume.

eDave 10-21-2015 04:28 PM

If the Jays manage to win both at home, I won't be mad about it. I'll tip my cap because they beat us under incredibly improbable odds. Impossible? No, because it's been done several times before, but still very very hard.

ChiefsCountry 10-21-2015 04:29 PM

Douche was going to flip the bat again, on a shot that is a long out in Kansas City.

Al Bundy 10-21-2015 04:29 PM

Uggghh... that will probably do it. Gonna win it at the K.

Of course Bautista had to 'pose' first.
