But JFC, these Mets fans need to be in Arkham Asylum. I have NEVER seen a bigger bunch of whiny, ill-informed twats, about any sport, in my entire life. |

We are getting close to Yankees type hate with them.
The team and fanbase that should really be pissed at us, don't seem to be bothered to much and that's the Astros. I think that will be one hell of a playoff rivalry the next couple of years. |

They still won't let me comment on there board. It's pathetic. I want them to hear from this farm hick reerun.

It's just pissed me off. KC is a major engineering hub, aviation hub, the surrounding states provide most of the food. What do those twats do? Unload containers from China and pay $12 for a beer? It's pathetic how they view middle America. I've lived on a coast, yea it's fun, but there is no job security or affordable housing. **** those guys.

I say we start flying banners over NY that say "Yosted!"

Apparently the Royals only have bandwagon fans who know nothing about baseball and the Mets were the better team. The Royals aren't good, just got lucky. Their pain makes me happy. **** New York!

They are having a really hard time dealing with the reality that KC is the better team. |
We destroyed their souls and made them question the very existence of life. I love it.

In their memory, I'm going to watch the 9th and 12th innings again.

Oh my god that would be awesome. |
I was trying to get downtown yesterday but apparently someones clothes got caught in the door when exiting the train and it drug them down the track. The whole train line got shut down causing a huge cluster. Couldn't get an Uber, no taxis around, so I said **** it and walked the 3 miles. The whole time I'm walking, I'm picturing Matt Harvey Forrest Gump sprinting out of the dugout with 44k chanting his name in the top of the 9th and I was giving 0 ****s.

What level of masochist do you have to be to watch the victory speeches of the team you lost to?

Don't worry, Mets fans!
Report: Mets to extend Collins with 2-year deal by Bryan Mcwilliam Nov 03, 3:59 PM The New York Mets are reportedly set to extend manager Terry Collins after he guided the team to their first World Series appearance since 2000. Collins will receive a new two-year deal that's set to be announced Wednesday at Citi Field, according to ESPN's Adam Rubin. The contract will run through the 2017 season, and Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports the deal is worth about $3 million in total. The Mets have scheduled a news conference for Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET. "I'm thrilled to death to be here," Collins told reporters after the World Series. "I can honestly tell you, baseball for 45 years, it tells you how hard it is to get here. So you better enjoy it, and I'm enjoying it." Collins said he managed with his heart instead of his gut in a deciding Game 5 loss on Sunday, when he let an emotional Matt Harvey convince him to pitch the ninth inning despite the manager initially preferring Jeurys Familia. The decision proved costly, as Harvey allowed a lead-off walk, followed by a double, which sparked the Royals come-from-behind win and ended the Mets' season. "They should all be happy," Collins said Monday. "They need to hold their heads up. There were two teams left, and we were very proud we were one of them." Collins owns a 394-416 regular-season record since becoming the Mets' manager in November 2010. He also owns a postseason record of 8-6, and would become the longest-tenured manager in Mets history if he completes his new contract. |
Harvey will talk him out of signing the deal.

they call us classless, then go on to talk about how they should go head hunting on our batters next year. LMAO
I think I even saw it from the same poster on that site. my favorite overall theme is basically, "If we didn't make mistake X, mistake, Y, and 25 other mistakes, we would've won. They got lucky" lol seriously - those are some ****ing reeruned fans. |

Who is Kelvin Herrera? Just the guy that pitched 3 scoreless innings of one hit baseball in game 5 of the World Series so that we would have a chance to come back and beat them which we did. |
Can't wait to beat those mother****ers on opening day.
|
Yeah I thought the Herrera thing was funny. Him and Hoch were the guys who held the fort down for 5 innings so we could win. That was huge.

Mets fan reaction is the only redeemable thought to Hosmer winding up a Yankee.

I can't stop checking that Mets forum and listening to NY sports talk radio. Their tears of sadness give me strength. :)

LMAO I can't get over how they so mad bro.
Everything is a "**** Kansas City and their one street nobody lives there everybody is inbred" comment. They legitimately thought they were the better team just because of their slight starting pitching advantage. They legitimately thought there was no conceivable way the Mets could lose to the Royals, because they knew nothing about us, therefore we weren't as good as they were. It would have been glorious to sweep their dumb**** asses in 4 games winning in blowout fashion each time, but the way the Royals did it is even better. They let the Mets continue to think their starting pitchers were all they needed, and won in comeback fashion 3 or the 4 wins. We beat them in ways they COMPLETELY overlooked and didn't think would be a big deal, and now that it's happened, they're STILL incapable of accepting that there are other parts of the game besides starting pitching. And the most glorious part? None of their starters put together the most dominant pitching performance in the series. That was Cueto in Game 2. They couldn't even grab that honor for themselves. They hate the media for praising the Royals even just in passing. They STILL don't believe that "Royals baseball" exists. That it's just a bunch of magic tricks and luck. These Mets fans aren't lovable losers. They're douchebag losers. They're hateable losers. They all lead a wretched existence, and nobody feels sorry for them. In fact, everybody is GLAD that their lives ****ing suck. |
Quote:
Last. yet they were bitching about how they couldn't hit our crap pitchers. the royals who decimated pitchers all season by not striking out. Getting on base and scoring. Were just luck. somehow the royals were just luck. For 2 years straight. |
Quote:
Their team was a joke. Talk about lucky. THEY'RE the ones who were lucky ****s to be even in that position. If the Cards didn't choke against the Cubs, the Mets would have been swept by them. And unlike the Royals in 2015, I highly doubt the Mets make it back. What do they have? They have nothing. |
Honestly I dont understand the attraction of reading the losing opponents baseball forum especially one that wont allow you to post there.
Is anyone looking for class and good sportsmanship from a New Yorker? |

It's schadenfreude. For YEARS...nee DECADES...WE've been the punchline. We've been everyone's little bitch, the likable but laughable losers from flyover country that nobody gives a crap about.
Well, we just got over on the big bad boys from the Big Apple and are enjoying the fallout from their toxic wasteland. Sue me. |

God I wish we played them at NY for the first game. The butthurt would be even better. |
I got shit from certain people around here when I said these assholes were as bad or worse than O's fans from last year.
I feel a bit vindicated. These miserable one who sucks the peniss are just as bad. They get worse and worse as the pain sets in too. It gives me an erection. |

Is this the only Mets board from NY? Seems it would be more fun if you could post there. I dont know the CP policy but I am not aware of any Mets fans posting here. Seems like the NY board is pussies if they wont let you in. To me that doesn't sound fun.

All I know is the responses on Twitter to Gomes speech seems to be dome Gomes in 2016. I gather he wasn't to popular in NY from his days with Boston. I doubt they will have that chance as chances Gomes is on our roster is pretty slim.

This is the epitome of denial.

It boils down to this - one of their young stud pitchers gets uppity and throws a fastball at Esky's head the very first pitch of a World Series game, gets pissed when the Royals don't like it, talks shit about it and directly TO the Royals afterwards, then watches his team promptly piss down their leg and lose in spectacular fashion. This causes fans, suffering from a sense of empowerment and bullyishness, to get monumentally ass chapped and bitchy when the Royals don't fold. And I ****ing love it.
Plus, someone should consider putting that Fredo Corleone dude on suicide watch. The anger and denial is STRONG in him. |

For real, though...we should wait until the second series to do our celebration. I know that's going to be a wildly npopular opinion, but it would be a classy gesture not to shit on their opening day.

Excellent, not only we're in the minds of the O's fans, we're also in the minds of Mets and Blue Jay fans.
Kind of nice to get hated on for once. Haters gonna hate. |

The reason we really infuriate fans is because we play a different kind of baseball. Every single fan base says the same things... they got lucky because they got all these weak hits or bloops or took advantage of this play or that play. But that's part of the strategy since we put so many balls in play. Eventually some of them will go through or errors will happen, etc.
That thread is making fun of the Royals' advance scouting but they scouted the Blue Jays for almost two solid months before playing that series. Our scouts and base coaches are on top of everything. I'm sure they didn't follow the Mets that long, but our staff seems pretty sharp. |
