Hunt should have made better decisions. He should not have laid hands on the young woman for anything other defensive purposes. I do not condone his decisions and actions, and those decisions and actions are ultimately responsible for his situation. Even if he didn't lie and is getting hit only because of the video, it is still his fault. But if he didn't lie and the franchise is lying to cover their ass I would like to know about it. I would like to know just how much hope I should invest in this team. |

Since when was 19 considered "underage"? We all know that dog ain't gonna hunt. And if it's true that Hunt tried to force her to have sex against her will with a member of his entourage, then he deserved every name she might've thrown at him, and more. All we know for certain is what we see in the video. Everything else is nothing more than he said/she said while in CYA mode, and should be taken with a huge grain of salt. The video clearly shows Hunt escalating the situation by leaving his room to confront her in the hallway, and ends with him kicking her while she's down. There's no way to sugarcoat that or justify it away with lame excuses that can't be proven one way or the other. He had to be cut. |

I can’t wait until Kareem gets PAID!!! by another team and gashes our nonexistent defense next year!
Bitchez be acting like dudes so they get treated like dudes. She was the initial aggressor and Kareem defended himself. |

More to the story. Police never followed up and watched the video since it was misdemeanor offense and probably because no one seemed harmed.

Riiiight. Just defending himself. That's why we see Hunt leaving the safety of his room to escalate the situation by confronting her in the hallway at the beginning of the video. Cause self defense n such. Points for edginess tho... |
Knowing that he wasn't playing this year, as I process this, it sucks and he is an incredible talent, but RB is a position you can fix without having to give up a ton to do it. Hunt and Charles are two examples.
Short-term though I think Hunt got a little over-looked in this offense. I think I like Ware as much or more than a decent amount of Chiefs fans, but Hunt just offered so much both in the backfield and on routes. |

Seems like Andy likes stronger power backs with agility that can stay balanced and force missed tackles. |

Pointing out the irony that people wanted someone gone for a non violent issue vs calling it an overreaction when someone is violent, is FUNNY. That's why I brought it up. Why so serious? |

And what could Roger have done to Clark if he didn’t back off and kept trying to investigate? Clark is a ****ing puppet to Roger and it’s sickening.

They only reason guys get suspended is because they don't want the thug reputation the NBA picked up a decade ago and it hurt them. Social media and money is why these guys get suspended, in the true sense of the word the NFL doesn't give a rats ass about anything other than it affecting their bottom line. |

I feel a lot of truth to this. T Hunt was my second favorite current Chief, right behind the savior. So much so that I have his jersey, which, now I can’t even wear. I know a lot of people in here still hate LJ but he seems like an alright dude on twitter and he’s still a big fan of the Chiefs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Rod Smith got involved in domestic abuse and nobody cared |
It used to be no big deal. A woman gets out of line and she got put in her place. Now you're asshole. Sure it looks bad but there are far worse things all over such as murder. Women need to shut their mouths and walk away when confronting a man if they don't want to be treated like one. I do not condon her Kareems actions at all. Probably had drugs in his system but that stupid girl has some balls getting in his face screaming at him then complaining at the out come.

I’m very late to this thread, and don’t really see the point of making a comment about Hunt or the incident or his release. I just want to know where I can trade in the $100 Hunt jersey I bought for my girlfriend a month ago.

Remember afterward when she claimed that they took the sim card out of her phone? It's pretty obvious what was happening. I kind of wonder who eventually did call security. Was it one of the two parties? A guest in another room? The sad truth is probably that Kareem could've called security without repercussions. He was a prominent guest. That type of guest can pull security aside and say, "Hey, she's a crazy. Can you just send her home? We don't want any trouble." Even if she called the police afterwards and claimed that her phone was taken, that would give you time to destroy the phone or at least get it out of the room where you can destroy with a hammer at your leisure the next day. But Kareem was too inexperienced to know that he likely held sway with the hotel in a dispute with a bar chick. |

Hunt’s father, also named Kareem Hunt, has been arrested at least 35 times in northeast Ohio and multiple times on charges of domestic violence, according to records obtained by USA TODAY. Most of the felony convictions were for drug-related offenses. He was sentenced to a combined nine years in prison on nine felony convictions, but it's unclear how much time he spent in jail for dozens of misdemeanor charges

Not to excuse Hunt's behavior but that explains a lot. When you watch your dad knock women around in anger, it normalizes that behavior.
I grew up witnessing a lot of screaming fights between my Mom and Dad, and then Mom and Stepdad. It sucked. Later on in life when I got in a heated argument with my gf, including in front of her kid a couple times, I went straight to yelling and screaming. It's something I've really had to work on and is never ok. He needs a good solid year of anger management therapy and stop hanging around at freaking clubs at 2am obviously. |
