Q- Is purdy doing his job as a competent Backup or is he starting material?
|
I’ve seen enough, Purdy is literally Mahomes Jr

That boy can ball. Good on him. He’s on a hell of a team with a great roster.

He can extend plays, he's accurate, he's ballsy. No reason for that to fall apart. He's for real, in my opinion. |
Welp if this game is any indication prepare for at least one Chiefs TD to get called back for illegal downfield.

We’ve gone from 77 reports as eligible every other play to 68 ineligible down field every other play

I feel like I'm in a Chiefs GDT with all the hyperbole. |
overall, not a bad game....3.9/5 for interesting and fun
|
It looked like Geno was "taken to the ground unnecessarily" there.
|
I’m certain 49ers would have won but it’s really frustrating how one bad call just completely derailed this game.

Interesting listening to this game how they all but ignore saying the Chiefs whooped the 49ers ass. We will do it again if we meet in the SB.

They were all two yards at most from what I can tell. |
That DB was shaking the receiver around like a dog with a squirrel.

This game changed on that fumble by Geno. Go in and score on that drive probably alot closer game

Sure, man, whatever you say. They look pretty ****ing good to me. |
49'ers look extremely concerning

Should've been the Lions playing today

Does it somehow make me less of a Chiefs fan? I need to know, ASAP! |
SEA has been bad against TEs, and somehow they held Kittle to just 2 catches, and still got smoked by 18. That's a potential problem. SF could just cruise to the SB considering how flawed most of the NFC playoff teams are.

I think that's the general point... nobody really knows shit about teams until they face real competition in the playoffs, no matter how amazing they look against mediocrity. |

And 'recency bias'? WELL YEAH. 'Recency' is kind of what ****ing matters when you're in the play-off portion of the season. Nobody gives a shit how anyone looked in September. |

Purdy looks like he is 12. He should probably stay away from Tom Brady.

And we haven't even talked about the defense yet . . . Need them to somehow stumble. Or the Chiefs have to have an historic game, in all phases. |

listening to pre/post games is just nauseating

But if the Chiefs have another slow 3rd quarter and stall out two or three times in a row, forget it. Gotta have a complete performance from start to finish, all phases, or they'll just out-class us. They have too many great players on their roster, a really good offensive scheme, one that the Chiefs have had issues with before, and that defense is polluted with monsters. Polluted, i tell ya. |

Brock Purdy's 131.5 QB rating today is the highest in NFL history for a rookie QB throwing more than 15 passes in a playoff game.
Mark Sanchez had a 139.4 QB rating in his first playoff game, going 12-15 -182- 1/0 |

Purdy did just fine, and that's all he probably has to do for this team. Don't stack negative plays and let the play-makers make plays. Against just about any team in the playoffs right now, that'll be good enough. |

You don't really think SEA was going to hold on and win that game, do you? SEA had to dip into their bag of tricks early in the first half; SF just ran their offense and waited for Purdy to settle down. Nearly everything SEA did offensively looked like hard work; SF just kept running their offense, getting 1st down after 1st down, score after score. They didn't even get Kittle involved the whole game. Or Mitchell out of the backfield. Aiyuk only had 3 catches. SF basically never got the truck out of 3rd gear. Even if SEA doesn't turn the ball over in this game, they weren't going to beat SF. Not enough horses or gunpowder. |

I see no way that the Chargers win this after Phillip Rivers was in their locker room.
