He is a rookie. He blew a call yesterday. But, the umpire is within the rule book to eject a player for throwing a helmet. It's just usually not called as long as its not focused on the ump and just frustration by the player.

I hope he didn't touch the ump and get a suspension.

I've missed part of the game, had a late night. Why is Molina going to get suspended?

Molina was called out on a bang-bang play at first, slammed his helmet to the ground, got ejected, then went after the ump. Benji separated him from the first base ump, but he made contact with the second base ump a few times. Nothing egregious, just slight touching, but that will probably damn him.

In 28 appearances facing him, we have an OPS of .637 against Affeldt.

I think he'll get 3.
