Going to next Friday's game at Wrigley. Hopefully they can at least beat the ****ing Cubs. :spock:

The entire team at this point is anti-clutch. I have NEVER seen a time strike out looking as much with runners on base before. But they sure are good at giving the umpire dirty looks.
And about last night's game, Yadi made possibly the stupidest baserunning decision I have ever seen. Leadoff double yet the dumbass decides he is so awesome that he can stretch it into a triple and gets thrown out. So instead of man on 2nd with no out, we have no one one with one out. Never, ever, ever, ever make the first out at third, especially in the 9th. That's basic baserunning. Oh and Motte blew another save. I know he hasn't blown as many as I think, but it feels like he has blown like 30 saves. |
A rare extra-innings win tonight. Back with a 1-game lead for the WC spot.

Well, luckily for the Cardinals I have no further plans to attend any more of their ****ing games this year. Lost today at Wrigley, 5-4, after that ****ing prick Salas gave up a game tying homer with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the 9th. This after sitting in the goddamn rain all afternoon. :#

Salas is a complete piece of shit

If Carp can get back up to speed it would be a fantastic help. You could pitch Waino in the wild card winner take all and then Carp/loshe before waino can go again. That wouldn't be so bad. |

Carp looked pretty good for not having pitched all year. He had one bad inning, but that was it. It was nice to see him out there again.

Brewers have won 24 of their last 30 games. And the Cards keep blowing 9th inning games to shit teams like the Cubs. I'm not sure we are gonna get that last WC spot.

We still got a 2.5 lead. We have 3 more against the astros and 3 at the end against the reds, who should be phoning it in. |
Some news on the injury front. Molina had to leave the game after tweeking his back to try to avoid being hit by a pitch. Jake Westbrook was shut down in a bullpen session after only 10 pitches. He complained of pain in his oblique that he injured on Sep. 8. He may be out the rest of the season. He was much less inconsistent this season.
