More money for IMG but I don't think Kansas is getting anything* as our deal with IMG goes through 2021-22.

* for now. If this is popular at all it could help a ton on a new deal. Immediately it obviously helps increase exposure and possibly recruiting a little bit especially in the non-rev sports. Obviously, it's nice for the fans as well

I don't get the fans who are questioning this. Everything is streamed nowadays and the quality is better and better every day. It's not like your espn internet feeds of 3-4 years ago.

I’ve heard the games will be blacked out in KC and Lawrence, possibly Topeka. How great is it that people in Butte, Montana can get hours of extra KU coverage, but KU students can’t?

And AT&T internet (the bundle with DTV) doesn’t allow ESPN3.

Still doesn’t help KC. Only 40% of KC residents will get to see those games.

Also, it looks like Comcast doesn’t have Metro Sports in HD.

I'm shocked that more people don't realize where this is all going. Have you even looked at the specs of xbox one and ps4? It's all about online streaming. Soon there will be no dvd. There will be no "cable" coming out of the wall. It's starting with Google Fiber which is starting in KC which is starting with KU.

I can't believe you don't know what you're missing. Go out right now and get apple tv, xbox...something. It's a completely different world and it works seamlessly with your existing cable.
