Stadium vote will be tied in with the Chiefs since the funding will come from the same source for both. KC will not vote down Patrick Mahomes and the Royals will get to piggyback off that.

Just like last time.

If they want to be split from the Chiefs why would that be a together vote?

Because it would be a vote to extend the sales tax that is used to fund the stadiums.

STL's present owner.

So if it's not about winning a piece of metal OR making money, I guess these guys are just doing it out of civic duty?

It's all just some arduous Sisyphean quest that they must suffer through - owning a baseball team.

(Which is to say that everyone's full of shit).

Oh - and Mike Matheny's bible studies happened AND he was a wildly overmatched moron who should've never been given another job in baseball or frankly any job that requires more mental acuity than tightening lugnuts, preferably on pieces that aren't weight bearing (so tire changing is out).

The latter is true regardless of what you think about the former. I just think it's funny that some of y'all get your hackles raised over it. The denialism is strong there...

Answers came after the game, a 4-3 L.A. Angels victory: The Royals’ hitting coaches, inspired by the movie “Gladiator,” cooked up the idea to order a special prop. Efforts to procure something suitable during spring training “didn’t work out,” Witt Jr. said, but the correct version was finally deployed during Sunday’s series finale in Southern California.

The helmet appeared to be a replica of one worn by Maximus, played by actor Russell Crowe in the Hollywood classic.

“That’s kind of our mentality,” Witt Jr. said. “Everyone against us.”

This may be the worst baseball team of all-time.

Definitely in franchise history.

Royals aren't even the worst team in MLB and are barely out of 3rd place in the AL Central.

The Athletics (-103) have twice the negative run differential the Royals (-51) have .

ChiefsCountry 04-24-2023 01:22 PM

This year's Royals have a shitty start but they at least have some legit MLB players unlike the 2005 - the real worst team in franchise history.

Oakland may not win 45 games.

They're so bad. So very, very bad.

I'm going to at least one!

Tuesday night with Singer and the roof open vs Wednesday afternoon in the A/C with Yarbrough and a day game after a night game travel lineup
