Sure, preferably, we'd use a 1st or 2nd, but I don't see anything other than OT and EDGE in the first 2 rounds after today's moves.

I still think we'll draft one in the 3rd, but many of the people that don't want OBJ also want a WR early.

Resign Watson and a veteran receiver on a cheap, 1 year deal

Watson started well last season, but literally fell off a cliff after Week 9? My hope is that he somehow injured himself on a PR or something and that he'll be much better if he's healthy.

And yet another scrub FA signing. Shelf's kind of bare to boot.

And I agree we're probably going to attempt to draft a LT and DE or DL anyway with the first two.

So, we're going to roll with a 3rd/4th round WR. Ack.

If they aren't bringing OBJ back, I'm pretty sure they're using some of that short term money saved on JuJu.

And it will be fine, and we'll be a serious contender, even if we only have a top 5 offense instead of the #1 offense, because we'll pair it with a top 5 defense and rape faces.

It's going to be fine, man. Mahomes plus best 52. Trust.

Meh. I've already said multiple times that they could basically trot out the same group and still win the West and get into the playoffs. Hope the whole "let's surround Pat with scrubs" thing doesn't get Travis hurt is all. Guy pretty much carried the offense in 2022.

You're going to have to get used to feeling like things are a little uncertain. There's just no way around that when you're paying your elite QB 17 and now 23% of your cap.

You're going to have to trust that this coaching staff can coach up the young-uns and get mileage out of guys like Watson. This is going to be how it has to work for a couple of seasons.

I trust Veach, Reid, Spags, and Patrick to figure it out.

He caught like 10 more balls than with Tyreek. Come on now.

Hyperbole.

JuJu was the best WR we had in 2022, and I cheered for him a lot last year, but let's be realistic; he was about a mid-tier WR2 at best. And he disappeared several times last season. We're pretty thin at WR. Would be nice to have some better insurance in that room.

You really think Hopkins would be more open on 'corndog' or 'corndog 2 electric boogaloo'?

Maybe we ought to trust the football minds at work. I think 5 AFCCGs, 3 trips to the SB and two wins have earned that.

They moved on from Tyreek Hill and Tyrann Mathieu in one offseason and proceeded to win the Super Bowl the following year. After accomplishing something like that, they are beyond questioning. Quite frankly, I think they knew they were never resigning him, just like Mathieu last year. They just had to say all the right things. They have a plan already in motion as usual, I’m sure.

Not just saying it to sound all cool, but I'm so not worried

It's not the number of balls he caught. It's the number of targets, which was over 150. It's the hits he took fighting for first downs, getting blasted by multiple defenders per play, either off the snap or at the catchpoint, etc. He took some big hits, got mugged a ton . . . and by Week 13 or so? he was definitely trying to either get down early to avoid the hits or coasting on plays. He even said in one of those interviews how it was starting to get harder to play at his best towards the last quarter of the season.

Don't blame him; he's going to be 34. As I've been saying, it'd sure be nice to take some heat off of our HOF absolutely necessary TE. You know, before he breaks down or something.

More open that who? JuJu? Sure, absolutely.

So let me get this straight, only losing Hardman, while getting year 2/3 Skyy and Toney, a lottery ticket in Ross, along with another rookie in like the 3rd still isn't enough?

JFC some of you have some very unrealistic expectations.

Not sure what you're saying here. JuJu is almost asuredly gone, hardman probably.

The WRs we know are returning are MVS, Toney and Skyy.

Justin we'll probably take back. But his performance was extremely up and down. Not sure how that's supposed to be reassuring?

Both Ross' may or may not play.

And in 35 years I never won any lottery ever, so don't know how that's supposed to make me feel better.:spock:

He had 7 more targets this year than he did 2 years ago in which he played two less games. And only 2 more targets than he had 4 years ago.

I get that he's getting older but don't act like he had a tremendous uptick in his usage.
