It is. Realize that Veach is trying to get Earl Thomas. He has until 10/30 to make it happen. That’s 5 weeks.

I think it is very possible that he’s trying to force Seattle to give a good deal. Depending on how things go, I would not be surprised to see Veach pull the trigger on 10/30.

Yes. In 2 years Brady is done and the Jags defense isn’t that good anymore bc they will lose quality players to FA/forced cuts.

Manning, Brady and Big Ben have run this ****ing conference for 16 years. It’s going to be wide the **** open for us soon.

I hope you’re right, and Mahomes’ mental prowess is what gives me the most hope that we can sustain conference dominance for awhile...

I just hate to count on that. Shit happens. Look at Luck right now and Indy.

It's not just that I value Thomas (who incidentally is every bit as good as a healthy Berry).

It's that I don't view it as "bending over and taking it".

It might cost a late 1st or a couple of late 2nds. Those picks have very little worth to me. I don't have any desire to see another Dee Ford, KPass, or Speaks drafted. Complete waste of time since they'll be ready to play about the time Mahomes is looking for a big payday (which I wouldn't at all be surprised if they Chiefs didn't pay, by the way).

And it's not my money, it's Clark's. The salary cap is an excuse teams use when they don't want to take risks. Teams that want players find ways to get it done.

Veach has done exactly that, sometimes even overpaying. He's either just doing his due diligence or the Seahawks asking price is so high it's not worth it.

Thomas is really really good. A legit single high safety thats a badass.

There's no asking price too high, sorry.

That's where we differ. I look at this last draft and I see nothing but failure. Thomas is a known quantity. I'd give our entire 2018 draft for him and not even think about it. The good news is that it won't take our entire draft. It might take a Breeland Speaks and an Armani Watts.

TOTALLY worth it.

Damn dude. By the way you are acting I guess you think that Mahomes is just a flash in the pan. That he can never have another successful season that could propel us to a SB.
I noticed earlier that you alluded to the unknowns of future seasons. There are unknowns in the future of this season as well.
You have come across as give me a SB this year ramifications be damned. As if any team has ever "bought" a SB.
We have stars that will need to be paid very nicely starting this off season. Players like Fuller, Jones, Hill and Ragland not to mention that we are going to have to do something with Ford and Houston then there will also be FA and the draft.
I am glad that our GM doesn't think like you are currently.

Sorry, but I really don't care about your opinion in this situation. I'm just looking at it in terms of what Veach does. I personally wouldn't mind throwing the late 1st the Seahawks way for him, but its painfully obvious that just isn't happening.

This has been my point especially with 2 2s. Earl Thomas is a HOF safety. Berry is one as well. He comes back and you have bookend HOF safeties.
