Patriot fan here who prefers Chief win it all this year if Patriots don't win this game.
That being said while the Chiefs should be at least good as long as Mahomes is healthy and in his 20's/early 30's, this year and the following 2 years are the Chiefs best shot at Super Bowl title(s).
Mahomes and even Hill will both be less valuable when they are getting paid market rate contracts.... Will Mahomes take less money like Brady did at times? Maybe. I don't know. But either way due for huge raise.
Seattle might even be in the Super Bowl this year if Russell Wilson was still being paid peanuts.
As long as Brady stays healthy -- and that could change with one play in regular season/post season/off season -- the Patriots should be very good for a few more years as long as he doesn't try to break the bank on his next contract. Tons of picks in this years draft to get some cheap talent.
And even a first round pick that may be good returning from injury next year.
Post Brady could be bleak for a while since it is tough to win without a top 10ish QB. Tough to know but Patriots don't appear to have a good backup qb.
And it goes without saying, the name of the game isn't to win this game but to win the Super Bowl. Nothing against the Chiefs but I am more confident of the Patriots chances against the Chiefs or already banged up Saints in Super Bowl than I am against the Rams.
I am working under assumption real cold/bad weather hurts wide receivers running long routes more than defensive backs.
