Mizzou just got a verbal commitment from a DB from Texas. Kid had a monster offer list including Texas and Oklahoma.

Nice to pull Texas kids away from the Longhorns. We weren't even in his top 3 a short while back (Texas, Oklahoma, and Tech).

Wasn't long ago that it wasn't even worth following a kid any longer if he had an Oklahoma and Texas offer.

I thought the SEC move was supposed to end our ability to recruit Texas.

I'm sure the fans of other programs were just trying to look out for our best interests. It's not their fault they're dumb.

Mauk's suspension will continue thru this week as expected.

@oscargambler: Maty Mauk will be suspended through Saturday's game. I've been told he'll be suspended at least the rest of the month.

This kid reminds me of Zaviar Gooden. Might end up playing WLB in the future.

I think he's pretty raw, so he might not contribute until 3 years into the program, but the upside looks really high. Great athlete.

What are they waiting for? Cut him loose and wash your hands of it.

Did Josh Moore get a sack? The announcers credited him with one, but I didn't see it in the box scores.

It was Marcell Frazier, not Moore. They got 16 and 18 mixed up.

Thanks. I did see Moore make a really nice play to track down the QB from the weak side on a scramble and hold him to only about a 1 yard gain. I don't ever remember seeing our defense hold teams to as many 0 or negative yardage plays. This may not be our best unit ever, but it's really, really good. The expected lack of depth on the line hasn't materialized yet.

So what's the story on Mauk? Seeing lots of insinuations elsewhere that he got busted with coke?

Getting busted selling coke to a teammate in the locker room is the most common rumor now.

So has this turned into a legal situation, or are they just handling it internally?
