I get that everyone loves Dirty Dan, I do too.

But he's not exactly John Lynch, and he's 31 and a free agent next offseason.

Do you really want to gamble losing a tiebreaker for HFA because his dumbass won't get vaccinated? I'm pretty sure Juando can catch tipped INTs just as well.

He costs nothing. He knows the system. He works hard. He’s been in the system and on the practice squad for a couple years. And most importantly, he was available.

He’s participating in training camp because Veach and Reid want him there, not because Mahomes wants him.

Get some perspective, people.

yeah but she seems to pissed off our Queen Bea.

Brittany: (spit take) "Ummm...well, it's a business you know..."

Dieters' gal: "I know, but Patrick could say SOMETHING...I mean Gherig doesn't make shit and you guys are rolling in it. Just seems that a real friend would help him out is all".

Brittany: "Help him out? Shit, the only reason Gherig is on the ****ing squad is because they're afraid to make Patrick mad by cutting his worthless ass!"

Dieter's gal: "Well, if that's the way you feel about it, you and your overrated husband can **** right off!!"

Brittany: "You first bitch!"

Enter Patrick and Gherig, after looking at yet another pair of shoes in Patrick's collection:

Patrick: "*slight hiccup...he's had a few* Hey, what's going on?"

Dieter's gal "Gherig, we're leaving!"

Gherig: "uh...OK. Thanks for having us over guys...uh...so see you at practice?"

Patrick: "Uh...sure...later man".

Brittany: "Don't let the door hit your worthless ass on the way out!"

Or something like that I bet...

Anyone educated on martial arts will tell you its all about leverage. How to best a guy thats got 100lbs. on you. I'm surprised the NFL doesn't use these techniques more.

The NFL fully understands leverage, but there is a big difference between a fellow offensive player (acting as a blocking dummy), letting you get perfect hand position and leverage, compared with live action, where defenders with paychecks on the line are moving fast, fighting back and using their own leverage techniques.

Also, leverage is important, but it's just one factor. That's why over the last 40 years the NFL emphasized height and length on the lines over guys that can more easily get leverage.

Orlando Brown will rarely be able to get leverage but he's so damn big he can basically swallow up DE's even if they have leverage over him.

Chris Jones is usually not going to have great leverage, but he's 6'6" with an NBA reach, which allows him to beat guys in other ways.

Somebody blew their assignment here against Chris Jones. I hope we don't see that during the regular season from our OL.

I am sure it happens a lot. I merely made a statement. I was hoping that since I just got home that someone knew who blew that assignment. I am sure it will get worked on.

Why the OMG?

Even the best OL’s have somebody occasionally blow an assignment, even during the season. It happens.

The OMG was sarcasm. I’m just giving you shit!

This issue isn't whether Juan can do the job. We know he can.

The issue is whether Armani Watts can do the job. Or whoever we would have fill in that role as the 3rd safety. And if we're replacing Sorensen with one of those guys, they better be just as good or an improvement over Sorensen.

It's possible. Dan's made some great plays for us over the years, but he's totally replaceable. And yet the Chiefs still haven't found that guy who can do what he does.

So go find that guy, let me know, and I'll contact Veach on Facebook to tell him he needs to go get that guy. Then Dan Sorensen is as good as gone.
