I know you'll laugh at this but this guy under center for the Ravens is light years better than that guy that punished Spags for blitzing him 2 years ago. This guy is eating the blitz alive and get this he's also doing it outside the numbers.

Marino was dumb too. Sometimes it doesn't matter. And with Lamar I don't think it will unless they get down by > 2 scores... They're not asking him to be Peyton Manning. He's like Adrian Peterson as a QB. And their defense is good enough that I'd be surprised if that actually happened. It's going to be a close game and it's going to come down to who makes the mistake.

Marino never won a thing because he was dumb.

Everyone wants to make excuses for him, but Marino did LOADS of dumb shit in the post-season that directly contributed to some of his worst playoff losses.

Being dumb is bad. Lamar Jackson is dumb.

LMAO Hilarious thing is that exchange actually happened with the Eagles, but even dumber

{Eagles OC}: "FOUR VERTS FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!"

{Hurts}: "Hey guys, how about we just not do that anymore..."

{Eagles OC}: "Holy shit! QB Draw it is.

Why make up shit to make attempt to make him look smarter than his OC?

I'll take it you didn't watch the game. They weren't any underbeath routes to throw to. Come out after half the 1st few passes he hit were underneath.

Is there anyway the Ravens can hire Vic Fangio to consult this week?

pugsnotdrugs19 01-24-2024 03:45 PM

Lamar is gonna be doing his patented helmet slaps repeatedly by the second/third quarter.

Y'all remember when Jarvis Landry clowned him in the Skills competition?

That was fun times...

I'll try it once more. The gameplan going in was to test the Texans secondary because they have a weak secondary. They didn't expect Ryans to send, not just the kitchen sink, but the house on literally every single play ( they blitzed 75% of the time Saturday). They went into half and made adjustments just as they have done every single game this season. Lamar was apart of the adjustment conversation just as Mahomes is for the Chiefs. He said they couldn't continue to call long developing plays because they were sending more rushers then the had blockers. It wasn't that coaches didn't see I mean Steve Winder and Ray Charles saw it. My point is the stupid guy with the low wonderlic that can't read defenses knew just enough to know they needed to go to shorter passes and didn't need someone to hold his hand to figure it out.

So, your point is it was so obvious, blind people could "see it", and you think when we say Lamar is dumb, we mean dumber than that?

And now someone needs to tell you no, we don't think he's THAT dumb..... obviously. He wouldn't be in the NFL if he couldn't figure that out.

Why is that a halftime conversation? If you want to use an example of how in control he is, I don't that is the example you're looking for.

And, I don't think this thread in general is saying Lamar is dumb and that's his downfall, or that he's dumb and therefore can't handle the blitz. Maybe some early on or in one of the other threads on this board, but the topic recently has MOSTLY been about him being a dynamic playmaker you have to try to get to play within a few confines.

Finally, regarding blitzing. When talking about Jackson's ability to handle the blitz, referencing what he did two years ago in one game is meaningless to both sides of the discussion.

I can't speak why Lamar didn't change routes mid play. Some teams do it some don't. I do know it was reported that he went into the lockerrom laid into the offense talked to the coaches about the plays he wanted to run and came out and put 24 second half points.

There were more than a few people that have referenced Lamars wonderlic and them wanted to blitz him because he can't read defense. That happen in this thread over the last feel days.

I've pointed out that Lamar has eaten the blitz alive all season. I just mentioned the game 2 years ago because that was the last game that Lamar played against a Spags D.

Geez, are all these Ravens fans going to be this dumb? if so, this is going to be very boring.

That wasn't a dig at 1 person it was a dig at all the posters in this thread that mentioned his wonderlic and he can't read defenses.

What? Are your reeruned. You and your minions in this thread pointed out that you had already beaten the two NFC teams left. I am pointing out that the 49ers racked up 429 yards in the game, and Purdy had 5 picks which gave you great field position. Purdy is not Mahomes...
