Consider the fact that Dante Hall was the first returner in discussion to break Brian Mitchell's distinction as the greatest return man in NFL history. Unfortunately for Hall, the backside of his career coincided with Hester's rise, so he's largely forgotten about by the rest of the league.

They're different players with different strengths, as both returners and offensive playmakers. Nevertheless, I don't consider the comparison to Hall as a slight to Hill.

These are all good points. Dante Hall never ran a route like Hill has done all week in his life. That's why I was trying to force the Antonio comparison. They're the exact same height and weight and guys drafted late as returners.

But Hill has a deadly combination of types of speed and quickness. He's a receiver and I don't really see why he should be subject to injury on kick returns when Knile does a great job. Punts sure.

Dante Hall did his damage after the ball was in his hands, as did Percy Harvin. Tyreek Hill does his damage getting open, not eluding tackles. It's just a different way of using speed+quickness. I also think Hill can convert quickness to speed a little better.

Having said that, we need to have a refresher on how good Dante Hall was. He was about 200x better than McCluster or DAT.
