Trade out of first, draft Dobbins in mid 2nd. Will split carries with Williams. Washington 3rd back and Thompson 4th Rb/PSquad. Williams shows up too inconsistently throughout year until playoffs. Injury there would hurt. Will go BPA after that whether CB, OL, LB, WR.

If A.J. Epenesa, Yetur Gross-Matos, Patrick Queen or Raekwon Davis (if the thought is a Jones deal won't get done) aren't there I'm moving back even if it's at a discount. I'd rather have an extra dart to throw at that point because I'm not overly enamored with too many others at that spot.

Raekwon Davis would be kind of a stunner to go in round 1....

I can't shake the feeling that this Draft is going to be Anti Climactic. However I am still looking forward to it.

I'll give 3 guys I think are going in the 1st round that most mocks don't have in the 1st...
Ross Blacklock Ezra Cleveland Marlon Davidson |
Cesar Ruiz is good but if we take an IOL first, I want Lloyd Cushenberry. I think he’s the better prospect

He was considered a 1st round player until a month ago and his combine did nothing to hurt him. I find it more shocking he's dropped to a 70th-80th rated player on a few boards. He's a replica of Buckner and Jones coming out but he has been tagged similarly to Jones about being lazy and immature at times but I don't think that's the reason for the abrupt slide or at least to that extreme. His tape against LSU was up and down. He saw a lot of doubles but appeared to be pacing himself often midway through in 1-on-1 situations too. Hard to say. Teams like the Bears, Seahawks, and Ravens probably wouldn't pass if he's there in the 2nd and I don't doubt SF looks hard at him at 31. I still consider him more of a fringe 1st guy than a fringe 2nd guy, but maybe I'm alone on it. |
