In alumni news:

Ben McLemore finally found his shot and then went off in the second half of yesterday's summer league game. He dropped 26 points on 13 shots. Killed it. If his team had half a brain cell and got him the ball more he would have gone for 30+.

The Morris twins are ****ing killing it in Summer league. They're undefeated, and had a phenomenal game Sunday. Markieff stripped Shabazz Muhammad with 3 seconds left, got the steal, then Marcus hit the fall-away buzzer beater from 18 feet. It was WET. They were #1 and #2 for the game in scoring. Game back and had a great game yesterday, too, where they really made their defensive presence known.

Thomas Robinson has been having a productive summer league. He's calmed down so much more than last year and his physically imposing his will on the glass. He had 12 points and 18 boards yesterday, and was visibly so much more physical. It was awesome.

Jeff Withey made a little noise with a back-to-back blocks on the same defensive sequence. vintage block party. I don't know how the **** people are getting to the rim with him and Anthony Davis there. That's going to be a sick defensive frontcourt soon.

Gooden got released. The way they were talking about it, his career could be done.

Paul Pierce officially left Boston and is on his way to kick ass with Tyshawn. Seriously, Deron Williams - a Bill Self guy. Paul Pierce and Tyshawn all on Brooklyn. I'm gonna be watching that team this year.

One short

I saw a bit of that game (I was bored with all the All-Star talk on every other channel). The portion of the 2nd half I saw was sloppy as hell. McLemore benefited from it being a foul fest – when reached 13 points, 6 of them were from the line. (Although, he was 6 for 6).
