Self. Seniors. Early in the season. It's maddening.
I don't get too horribly wound up about it. I was absolutely beside myself when Releford was on the bench and redshirted in favor of fools like Morningstar. Releford developed into probably the best on the ball defender I've seen in college ball and probably wouldn't have if he were relied on for offense. And Morningstar turned out to be decent with a good fit in the role he had.
It sucks and I think a lot of good talent gets under developed but Sometimes it works out. Part of it may be practice attitude. I know Self values it a lot and a guy probably doesn't make it to his senior year without getting after it in practice. And that may not be all bad. Putting freshman out there with bad practice attitudes won't change their attitude and practice is critical to Selfs system which is all team oriented concepts especially defensively.
