Huard quit last season. Everyone knew it. I honestly dont blame him. He got beat up and had his will taken from him. Same thing will happen. Our Oline is just as bad as last year.

Any QB can look adequate with the proper supporting cast. This year there is no supporting cast. For the most part the team has been micromanaged into oblivion. Not a single player seems to GAS.

Leadership on this team is non-existant.

Pre-Manning revolt - that's hilarious. You're making up little stories in your mind to fit reality to theories you made up before-hand. It was not a revolt that made the Colts better, it was years and years of melding a system and keeping it together. It was years of adding young players to a defense that was terrible when Dungy arrived. Tom Moore called the plays in 2002 and he calls the plays now.

Dismiss it all you want - that Jets team in 2002 went up to Foxboro and beat Tom Brady in a huge game in Week 16, blew out the 12-4 Packers 42-17 in Week 17, and then demolished the Colts 41-0 in the playoffs. There were no flukes there, and no easy opposition.

And I'm curious - do you think Norv Turner is a better coach than Marty Schottenheimer? Who exactly is a good coach? Belichick and Belichick only? You might say Andy Reid - but you forget that he lost 3 home playoff games in consecutive years as a home favorite - the same stuff you get on Marty for. Sean Payton because he loses 42-39 and you think defense is boring? My guess is that you think everyone sucks.

I still don't think people realize the mediocre level of talent those Jets teams had. Everyone bags on Chad Pennington, but somehow they think Herm underachieved in New York by only going to the playoffs 3 times, winning 2 playoff games, and being competitive every year Pennington was healthy while in the same division with a dynasty in its peak years? It just doesn't make sense.

And Herm made the right decision on Thigpen today.

They're rebuilding.

Rebuilding doesn't mean re-loading. It essentially means that this team is an expansion team. Instead of going out and plugging holes with free-agents, they've decided to draft players, play them immediately and play the old guys on the roster until they're replaced next off-season.

They're building a team from the ground up. It's going to be a bumpy ride until all of their needs can be addressed. Then hopefully, they can draft for depth or move around and grab a superstar in 2010.

Ah ha!!! Now I get it. So that's what that guy meant when he kept saying "Rebuilding. Get over it." It's all starting to make sense now........

NEway, I hope that you guys get a better HC so that your team will be once again competitive.

There is a Profootball Weekly article that discusses your team's demise. Interesting reading. goto profootballweekly.com

You guys deserve better... Most of Jets fans can really sympathize with you. BTW this does not mean that we like Mangini either, at this point, anyone is better than Herm.

Good luck this year.

Well, all I can say is ..... FUUUUUUUUUUU*******************************KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you armchair phuqqers couldnt do any better

and if you tried, youd piss your pants and stand there like a deer in headlights.

thigpen may be bad, butyou guys are harsh on just one guy...how bout the receivers not getting open.

blaming the qb is a scapegoat.

why not blame the groundskeeper...or the way the sun looked that day...or the vendor in section C...or the cheerleaders...

or your mom.

We're not blaming the QB, we're blaming the statistics he is producing, which is actually a great way you evaluate talent.

Through 2 games, 1 start:

279 yards
40.6 % completion percentage, most just dink and dunks, a few dropped passes.
2 TD
4 INT
QB Rating 38.3 <----- This number isn't there for nothing.

Stats don't lie, and even though we aren't fortune tellers, you don't have to be with statistics and lack of fundamentals you see every snap this kid takes. Just give it up Thigpen supporters, you had your chance, Huard you're up!

Hopefully, you'll be consistent about that opinion when Croyle comes back and stinks it up.

It occurs to me that, one of the biggest, hidden screw ups in this whole deal is the loss of Trent Green. Sure, Trent's egg was scrambled, but regardless of what you think of Croyle, he would have benefited far more from Trent's tutelage, guidance, and advice on the sideline than Air Downfield's musings on the fetal move and the intricacies of the running back dumpoff.

When this is all over and Herm is finally gone, you could write a book on "What Not To Do When Rebuilding" based on this walrus orgy.

If you send Tyler Thigpen out there one more time, you deserve the inevitable firing that will result. You thought he could play and you were very very wrong. Move on now.

Where have you been? Asleep?
