That would be BEAUTIFUL.

Love the UNC@UConn matchup, too.

no, that's weird. I wonder why. UP seems to be able to see it, but I can't...

@Pittsburgh and a 6 overtime game to a team that beat you on your home court(and one that we had already defeated)? Oh, the huge manatee.

You know Memphis's body of work/resume is not better than UConn's and I don't know why you'd even try to argue otherwise. That's not taking away what Memphis might be able to do in the tournament, but facts are facts.

Extend the offer, and we'll accept before you can spit out the question mark. I love it when BCS conference fans think it's possible to just walk up and join one of the cartel clubs.

No, see. C-USA is exactly as bad as the Patriot League. There are no other top 50 or top 100 teams in C-USA, and every road game is held in empty 2,000-seat gyms.

This is what people actually believe. It doesn't matter that C-USA has exactly as many top 50 teams as the SEC.

P.S. THE BIG TEN AND SEC DESERVE 6 BIDS EACH!

So much truth.

I'm saying UConn did it to themselves, if they don't get a #1 seed. Our schedule wasn't as good this year as it was last year, and thanks to us struggling to find a PG in December we lost to the two top 20 teams we played, but UConn not only lost to that same team in March, they did it after losing their previous game.

Meanwhile, we haven't lost since before Christmas, including games on the road at top-25 Tennessee, top-30 Gonzaga, and top-50 UAB.

The question is, is the committee going to want to give a #1 to a team that's hit a skid, didn't advance past the conference quarterfinals, and has actually been swept by another team -- no matter how good -- this year? You're probably going to be #2 in the East, which is just as good as a 1-seed for your purposes.

I can't see it now, either.

What number do you wear? ;)

KevB 03-14-2009 10:16 PM

As a Memphis fan....it's not worth arguing about IMO. 1 or 2 doesn't matter. In fact, I'd love the bracket just below. #2 seed with Michigan St. #1? Hell yes. Ask their fans if they'd look forward to playing Memphis again.

Bottom line: If Memphis gets a 2, I get it. However, if they get a 1, they have nothing to apologize for.
