You know Memphis's body of work/resume is not better than UConn's and I don't know why you'd even try to argue otherwise. That's not taking away what Memphis might be able to do in the tournament, but facts are facts.

I'm saying UConn did it to themselves, if they don't get a #1 seed. Our schedule wasn't as good this year as it was last year, and thanks to us struggling to find a PG in December we lost to the two top 20 teams we played, but UConn not only lost to that same team in March, they did it after losing their previous game.
Meanwhile, we haven't lost since before Christmas, including games on the road at top-25 Tennessee, top-30 Gonzaga, and top-50 UAB.
The question is, is the committee going to want to give a #1 to a team that's hit a skid, didn't advance past the conference quarterfinals, and has actually been swept by another team -- no matter how good -- this year? You're probably going to be #2 in the East, which is just as good as a 1-seed for your purposes.
