That display of concentration in the Guantlet just now by that group of WRs in general was about the most pathetic I've ever seen.

I was dead wrong on Shipley's speed, still holding to the opinion that he will be just fine as a pro...

I am actually REALLY suprised by alot of the numbers this year, seems like a ton of players are coming out slower than expected.

NOT a suprise at all on Colt's height though. NO WAY was anyone buying that he was 6'3"

4.28 for Spiller.

Huh?

I haven't benched regularly in the past year but the last time I was (2008), I could bench 225 17 times.

And I'm only 210.

It all depends on your training methods.

I think Golden Tate may have jumped into the first round with his 4.36 40 time.

It's going to be difficult for some of those teams in mid-late round one to pass him up.

I missed his 2nd attempt.

How did he do?

Didn't see it.

That said, I know that he's not doing other drills, but I respect the fact that he ran here. Guys from skill positions who don't run at Indy because of mysterious injuries are a huge red flag, IMO.

Davis with a great analogy comparing the remaking of a throwing motion under pressure to the remaking of a golf swing.

Stewie 02-28-2010 02:10 PM

Heh! It's the NFL Network's Spiller 2nd 40-yard teaser.

I couldn't stand Tebow because he played for Florida, but it sounds like he's been blowing everyone away in this combine with his abilities and smarts. If all it takes is to get him to a quicker release he might be a damned good NFL QB.

4.27 for Spiller's second.

Stewie 02-28-2010 02:13 PM

Spiller 4.27 on the 2nd attempt.

There's so much more than that

He has to work on his

1) Footwork
2) Taking snaps from under center
3) Ball placement
4) How to read a defense and go through progressions
5) How to not tuck it and run once his first option is covered.

Whats his arm strength? I know they tried changing his throwing motion at Florida and he couldn't do it there... the longer its gone on the harder it is to correct.. Hes going to be a big time project that has to go to the perfect situation with great coaching and will let him sit on the bench for years behind a great QB.
