Buckhalter missed the 2002 season because of an ACL tear - he played 0 games.

Buckhalter missed the entire 2004 AND 2005 seasons because of a ... torn patellar tendon in his knee.

Two seasons - I don't know how his injury compares to Clady and I don't recall what people were saying about his pending return within the first week after the injury.

You drew the comparison.... so there is your fact.

Broncos running back Correll Buckhalter missed the entire 2004 and 2005 seasons with two different patellar tears, although he suffered each injury in late-August.

It is only April Clady has PLENTY of time to make it back.

if Buckhalter is the fastest running back on the Broncos...

LMAO

Only way around that is euthanasia.

Dude...you've acknowledged that you're a homer, but statements like this just make you look like you don't know what you're talking about. Linemen brace with their legs and try to push forward against 300-pound defensemen. Running backs...well...run. There's a huge difference in how much pressure is placed on a knee in those two situations.

Too bad LJ did not go to the donks, he would reinjure Clady the first game just by running into him and falling down..

salame 04-29-2010 11:40 AM

That kind of sucks for Clady

Chiefburger 04-29-2010 11:40 AM

Big loss. And the Donks take another step toward the divisional basement.

Valiant 04-29-2010 11:41 AM

Serious note.. Clady uses his knees way more then a N/S will.. He will not be the same the entire year unless he gets him some nice prescription roids..

He went to the best Microfracture surgeon in the world to get it fixed. He will be fine.

Perhaps the issue here is that, your definition of "fine" is pretty different from mine. I don't doubt that it's possible that he'll be starting Week 1. It's iffy, but it certainly could happen. What I doubt is that his performance won't take a hit. He may be decent, but he'll be nursing the injury for a while no matter when he returns.

I just don't think this kind of injury will have that bad of an effect on an offensive lineman. I think he will be healthy enough to play week 1 and if not soon after that and he will play at his normal Pro Bowl level the rest of the way.

Hootie 04-29-2010 12:00 PM

hey I don't care about Clady...Hali gets 50% of his sacks on the guy every year...Clady in the lineup or out of the lineup doesn't concern me one way or the other...

LeCharles Bentley was a young OLineman and in 2006, he had the same injury (not sure of the exact differences in severity). Bentley was drafted in 2002, so still a young guy in 2006 and he never played again.

Didn't he get an infection or something in his knee after the surgery?

Quit thinking. It hurts to read the stupidity that you post. If he were a guard, maybe so.... but as a LT, give me a break.
