Cassel's first career start was against the Chiefs the confidence from that game carried him through the year

A good/great QB would have willed a dogshit team to a few wins. Croyle did nothing, so I say file him under "Never Was" and move on.

Croyle actually did enough to win a few games with a dogshit team. But it is a team game. Just off the top of my head, the OC failed him/us against the Colts, there was a late fumble deep in Raiders(?) territory by a RB when a FG would have won it, and there were a couple of games when Gun's defense did only what they could do to keep us out of the win column.
