It's hard to be strong mentally when your coach doesn't believe you to the extent that you put up #'s and win games and get yanked reguarly anyway. I used to work with a black guy who took Vinces side for years and we had this argument somewhat regularly. After last year I'm inclined to side with him. Young was always #2 to Collins in Fishers book even if he walked on water.

Someone mentioned Young not being mentally strong enough for Haley. One could say Vince isn't enough of a Yes Man for Haley and it would mean practically the same thing. Haley wants someone to follow orders, that's why Cassel's never going anywhere. With that said, I agree that Haley and Young could never coexist, and there's no point in bringing him in for a look.

No, it wouldn't be the same thing at all.

I was expecting a Truefan onslaught, but I didn't expect this.

There is a reason I didn't expect this: It's pretty ****ing stupid.

Any QB that isnt a 'yes man' for his coach needs to go sell insurance.

In a certain context it could. I never said it would, 'could' was the exact word I used.

If one's definition for being mentally tough enough to be QB under Haley is to run every play he says, every time, even if his instincts tell him Haley is wrong, and then taking the heat for both his own mistakes AND coaches, that qualifies as "mentally tough" to me. It certainly wouldn't be relaxing.

Not when the coach is calling stupid plays and making bad decisions. Every Hall of Fame QB that's every played has every questioned his coaching staff from time to time, some fairly often. Except maybe Staubach, ha

You think we should bring him in for a look then? I really don't think him and Haley would get along.

Ok, you said it. Now get the hammer out and beat the thought out of your mind, so it never returns again.

Somebody will sign him and we will see .

I'm not even gonna say I told ya so if he pans out for another team.
